• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I think the unit that makes up the speedo and tach is sealed so it's not possible to get to any of the lights. JMO

Starting my Christmas List, what are you asking Santa for your Ryde?

My wish list for Santa. Lamont's Cat bypass and Break stripe kit but with reflective red and blue stripes. And if I'm lucky, a trike trailer from Kompact Kamp!

Had an Accident; Advice on New Spyder

Sorry to hear about the accident. Glad things weren't worse and you are on the mend! As far as machine guns, I don't think that's enough. Sometimes anything short of a howitzer would be a waste but that's over the weight capacity of a spyder. I'm thinking an RPG or equivalent would work...

2015 RT LTD with 1 piece rear wheel - Change bearings

I just looked at the rear drive wheel for 2016 and 2017 on discounthondaparts and it doesn't show a 2 piece rear hub for those years.

    4 to 5 wire converter

Here is a schematic of the input and output of the trailer module sold by BRP. The red arrow indicates the separate power input that comes from it's own fuse. Notice the 5 wire input and 4 wire output.

    4 to 5 wire converter

Yup, :agree:. Spyders have a 5 wire system on board already. The module that BRP supplys is a 5 wire to 4 wire converter with separate power that isolates the trailer. That way if there is a wiring problem in the trailer only one fuse gets blown, the power for the converter. If you wire the...

    2018 Gauge Cluster Backward Compatible?

:agree: I would think that the CANBUS communication would be different so the wiring harness and any modules on the CANBUS would need to be updated to 2018 stuff. It would be nice though if someone found a work around so the new dash could be put in with minimal effort on a pre-2018 spyder.

    Trailer Wiring

Did you get BRP's hitch or someone elses? If you got BRP's then you might want to consider getting this for the trailer. https://leadersrpmshop.com/can-am-new-oem-spyder-roadster-trailer-tongue-harness-rt-622-710003227/ Currently this place is out of stock. You'll have to find it some place...

Roll call: Younger riders or riders with no health issues?

Almost 59. Reasons for getting the Critter: I like it, Safer and auto clutch with paddle shift. I don't want to be the only driver & my lady can't drive a manual.

Need Improved Milage On old RT w 998 Engine?

Definitely don't want a meltdown. At least with the AFR+ you could get an idea where you stand with how rich or lean the trike is running. I have seen where some diagnostics machines have a tailpipe sniffer to test the air to fuel ratio.

Need Improved Milage On old RT w 998 Engine?

Too bad an AFR+ can't be put in. I looked at their webpage & saw they only make them for the off road Can Am stuff. Here is the address for those interested. http://www.afrplus.com Thanks. It's actually quite impressive. You can re-map your fuel curve just by putting this in. It plugs...
