• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    How Stiff?

:agree: There is way too much play in the stock setting. Just took my first fairly long ride yesterday with the Wife-L-Unit and it was quite mushy on turns and I could notice the high beams bouncing off of overhead signs that were a bit in front of me. Read up in the owners manual last night...

new yellow SM5 for sale in Sa, TX

vwatso, I agree with you wholeheartedly. I've only had my :spyder:a few days now and am getting used to it at a very fast clip. It is amazing how well it rides and although you guys warned me, I'm still a little flustered by the attention this thing draws. It really is one smart and advanced...

    Phantom Black Kit

I gotta go with Smylinacha. Black is pretty to look at, but visibility helps safety with so my bright yellow :spyder:with my bright yellow jacket has helped more than one idiot see and hopefully avoid me. Just my 2 cents

    Question About Insurance

I agree with the folks here. If you've gotten it out of your record, no need to volunteer anything. Things that effect the cost of insurance, location, age, driving record, deductible, level of coverage, options, etc. With respect to insurance. San Antonio, Male, 48 years old, 35+ years...

Quick turn around on a Cal Sci windshield

I ordered a Cal Sci windshield at 10:35 this morning. At 5:03 I had a tracking number from DHL in my in-box. I like that kind of responsiveness and positive feedback that the order is moving :2thumbs: I wish ALL vendors were that thorough. Great job Cal Sci

new yellow SM5 for sale in Sa, TX

That is good to know. I bought a bike from Joe before and was happy with the deal but didn't have them do a lot of maintenance on it. As I was paying for the :spyder:the finance gal asked if I was interested in their pre-paid maintenance program. It was like $1,200 for six (6) service visits...

new yellow SM5 for sale in Sa, TX

Joe Harrison was a bit more than $900 (would have to look it up to verify) for dealer prep and shipping. I found out about South Texas Suzuki after I'd already put down my deposit and signed a contract so I didn't make a stink about it and just went through with the deal at Joe's. Live and...

new yellow SM5 for sale in Sa, TX

I just picked my Yellow :spyder:from Joe Harrison on Tuesday of this week. It has been a lot of fun so far. Only ordered the Cal Sci windshield, mirror extenders, cramp buster, two mesh jackets, two helmets and three pairs of gloves. It's been an expensive week  but it's also been a...

    KewlMetal Mirror Extensions parts

Ordered mine today. The gal on the phone said they are on back order and would ship in 2 or 3 weeks. She said they'd modified the finish and fixed the issue with rusting. Can't wait to get them installed :2excited:

Spyder and hurricane arrive at the same time:(

John, welcome I picked mine up on Tuesday and today the hurricane rains hit San Antonio so my :spyder:is sitting in the garage. Not afraid of a little rain, but was concerned it would be very heavy at times and it has. Weatherman says it should be clear tomorrow so I'll ride for sure. Looks...

The Alamo Spyder rides at last !

Brian. Good to know there are more :spyder:lovers in San Antonio. Also met another guy on Can Am Talk. Once I get some miles on it, we'll have to organize a ride. This weekend, the Wife-L-Unit and I will take our first relatively long ride to Pflugerville (north of Austin) and back. Keep...

    Harley offers new 3-wheeler

Saw this on one of my other boards http://www.620wtmj.com/news/local/25799529.html First comment made was "They're doing it wrong. Can Am Spyder FTW (for the win). Made me chuckle http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/Article_Page.aspx?ArticleID=6833&Page=1 More in-depth look

The Alamo Spyder rides at last !

Mark Great advice, thanks. We left the dealer last night it was almost 7 PM so we thought for sure the rush hour traffic was done but anyone familiar with San Antonio is familiar with the northbound 281 traffic which is the closest gateway to the Hill Country to my house, sucks but we didn't...

The Alamo Spyder rides at last !

My first "rock star" moment You are right! Rode in to work this morning for the first time and a lady followed me the last mile or so and up three levels in the parking garage just to ask me what it, who makes it (you know the standard questions)... Wound up talking with her for 10 minutes...

The Alamo Spyder rides at last !

I just got back from picking up my :spyder:and taking her for her inaugural ride. She is a sweet little ride....did I say "she"? Guess I've determined her gender ;) Between the dealer taking forever to get the paper plates on it and do my official "walk around" I was able to get a quick 40...
