• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Are There Still People Out There Who Don't Think Helmets Are Necessary?

Show me fatalities from convertibles and compare it to motorcyclists who don't wear helmets. Are you trying to justify not wearing a helmet while on a bike? It's a non-defensible position....there's no comparison...apples and oranges... Forget this 'let everyone do what they want' if others...

Are There Still People Out There Who Don't Think Helmets Are Necessary?

Must read for all of us...anyone who still thinks you shouldn't have to wear a helmet, especially... http://www.cdc.gov/mmwr/preview/mmwrhtml/mm6123a1.htm?s_cid=mm6123a1_e%0D%0A

Oowwwwwww my Hindle sounds even better after the first servicing. Typical?

You removed the heat shield? Too bad...you could've glued it down (just over the rivets) and it would've stayed put. The product I use works great...no issues anymore...

    SE or SM?

Since the OP was about SE vs. SM, I'll chime in by saying to go with the SM...reason? There's nothing like hitting the clutch and popping the gears. We already have three wheels, traction control, etc...it's nice to have something that 'feels' 'motorcyclish'... Just my two cents...take it or...

Ever been pulled over for too many white lights in front?

Most states do not allow blue or red (police colors). In MD, you cannot use them and being I'm a resident here, that's all that I really need to worry about. I don't know why people would even want to take a chance...everyone needs to get familiar with their state laws...if they follow them...

    i wanna ride with shorts

You should never ride scared...this will lead to more safety issues...I still fail to see the need for cordura or mesh pants when on a spyder...the types of issues on a spyder are not the same as being on a two wheeler (like your bicycle)... Wearing a helmet is obviously the most important...

    i wanna ride with shorts

Road rash? From what? If you're coming off a Spyder, it's not going to be from dropping it and rolling a few hundred feet around on the highway...if you come off your Spyder, it' more likely you'll be splattered somewhere...and what you wear (aside from the helmet), likely won't be a...

    i wanna ride with shorts

Enjoy...ride and be comfortable. You don't want to sacrifice safety, but most of the safety concerns with coming off a bike are mitigated by being on a Spyder...this is a great thing. Make your bike as bright as possible and ride appropriately (this means don't ride scared or too unsafe)...

    i wanna ride with shorts

Agreed...the great thing is that you cannot drop your spyder and this is one of the main reasons you wear gear...to protect you with sliding. If you are hit directly by a large vehicle, it doesn't really matter what you are wearing. There is a lot to be said about 3 wheels...

    i wanna ride with shorts

I have sympathy for your story but that is not unique to wearing shorts and riding...sorry! I was riding in my BMW with the top up and somehow a hornet got on my left arm..stung me...I swerved quickly and hit a pole, taking the 4x4 out of the ground...so, this can happen with any...

    i wanna ride with shorts

I have a Hit-Air jacket (best thing to have on a bike IMHO)...I do ride in shorts when it's 95 and HHH... The bottom line is that nothing beats proper gear all the time, but you're not going to drop a Spyder and slide across the highway (30-40% of all motorcycle crashes are biker only) and I...
