• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

I was just accentuating that there is no new models/not much of changes but carries higher tag and I could not care less how much other manufacturer's products cost.

    GPS Recommentations

your phone? i can't even remember when was last time i had a separate gps. if its not water proof or resistant, there are waterproof case/mount and whole lotta choice of mount. i personally like mount from value accessory that replaces one of bolt for handlebar with longer bolt. its all in one...

Just bought an exhaust can on ebay - any worries running lean?

i had two bros on my old 09 and it is LOUD. and db killer doesn't work well. it just changes tone to higher note. i think i did get some popping without fuel mod because like op stated, cat delete is given because back then, cat was in the muffler. if you can find some old two bros juicebox...

    2015 RS SE5 stuck in 2nd gear

I don’t know if you can see but thread is so worn it’s slipping. Miraculously, local dealer had one in stock and issue is resolved and i put some of that paste we put on the front sprocket teeth. had hard time undoing 6 year old bolt that holds the shifting lever but lil wd40 and gentle...

    2015 RS SE5 stuck in 2nd gear

I couldn’t find the post. Looks like it was moved but anyway, it turns out inside thread on gear shifting lever was worn out to the point that it doesn’t ‘catch’ the thread on shaft anymore.

    2015 RS SE5 stuck in 2nd gear

it happened so suddenly while i was downshifting from 3rd but now spyder is stuck on 2nd gear. it blips trying downshift when i slow down but doesn't actually get shifted and can't upshift neither. i tried to loosen it by moving that shifting mechanism below front sprocket but when i pull it...

Code P0127 - is it just too hot?

I went for morning ride in cool 105 ambient temp and no fault code! So it looks like it was simply too hot like you guys have mentioned. No code, coolant temp steady at 4 bars. And yes I will look into fresh air pick up. Thank you.

Code P0127 - is it just too hot?

Thank you. I wonder if fresh air from outside to air box would help. I have factory airbox without the extra crap(air intake is right at where filter is). But at 110 degree weather… I guess it might still be better than air intake being in semi-engine compartment.

Code P0127 - is it just too hot?

It’s been hot hot in Vegas, 110 and got code 0127, air too hot out of exhaust manifold. Ambient temp reading on spyder was 125. Do you think it’s simply too hot or have possible issue? Coolant temp fluctuate up to 6 bars, sometimes brief 7 then comes back down to 4. It takes 10-15 minutes of...

    Power commander V fuel map

I made a typical diagonal powerband map and it seems to be little better but I think I will opt for dual band autotune as this is basically working blind to make a map guessing. Also, there is no ignition modification.

    Power commander V fuel map

I felt pc V really didn’t add much performance and I finally got around to opening fuel map and found there wasn’t much modifications to fuel map. Dynojet’s explanation was that map is just a stock map and you need to take the spyder to a dyno shop or use autotune to build a map. The map...

    Front end wobble

So I’ve lowered/soften quite a bit(about 30%) on front shock rebound and that does seem to help, both in acceleration and braking but when I hit the brake hard, rear(not adjusted) got loose. I soften rear shock rebound sorta matching the front but more testing is needed.

Fuses - does anyone have sources for Can-Am fuses??

Those j case fuses are $5 a piece at auto parts store. I bought assorted 30 pack from Amazon for $16. I don’t think there are too big a difference and one I did use already is still going.

    Front end wobble

Since rotors are kinda floating on three bolts , how do you make sure it’s properly seated?

    Front end wobble

Brake pads are brand new, may be 100 miles on it. I understand that warped rotor would cause wobble under braking but it doesn’t cause front end to loose traction under hard acceleration, does it? I’m thinking it’s two separate issues.

    Front end wobble

I lifted spyder and when I spun the front wheels, the noise it makes as rotor runs through the brake were not consistent. It was like some part of rotor was contacting the pads more than other , kind of alternating wave of sound??? But just slightly. Since I haven’t done this before I’m not sure...
