• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear shock question plz

Just got off the phone with elka. Tech says if I have 2” inch of rider sag, I need to add preload because that shock only has 3.1 inch of travel and if I am getting 2” of sag just by sitting on it, there isn’t enough travel left to compensate for bumps of the road and I’m bottoming out and...

    Rear shock question plz

I got a elka stage 2 in the rear and it was rock hard so I started minimizing preload till it’s all the way to minimum but it’s too hard. Consensus is that you should get 30% rider sag from fully extended but I can only get 15%. With rear wheel off the ground, shock fully extended, I measured...

    Smoothspyder tensioner installed

It works! It pretty much got rid of most of the vibrations. Thing I did different was that recommended 8-10 pounds of tension was putting too much pressure on the belt so I backed it off to 2 and it was much better and still eliminated most of vibration. There was a little hiccup but Jim took...

Finally, a spyder for post-RS age

Although I don’t have much of a problem with this RS but first one, a 09 had so much problems, I am basically always ready to say goodbye. 😛 like if I am living with a old sick dog. I bought it used, 15 month ago with just 700 miles on it and best warranty till next July.

Finally, a spyder for post-RS age

I liked the 2020 RT without top box!!! I was afraid that when my 15 RS kicks the bucket that would it for me because I don’t like the current f3 or RT but new RT , I can definitely see myself on it.

Missing “read safety card” message when starting

Well, problem is that is not normal and possibly part of issue why ecu is not being flashed. Dynojet is saying there is an interference somewhere.

Missing “read safety card” message when starting

That message is gone when starting and I was wondering if that’s somehow related to powervision cx not being able flash my spyder. Any thought? I don’t have to hit mode button to start.

    Battery not charging

RS is at dynojet for testing and they are putting it on a battery charger so we shall see if it holds that charge after I get it back. Thank you for all the inputs. I just hope it’s not the charging system.

    Battery not charging

2015 RS and battery is 14 month old. It’s been sitting outside for last 2-3 month in heat as hot as 110, only getting ridden once a week for 2-80 miles.

    Battery not charging

So I rode 1000 miles to Vegas and battery died on me overnight. Not completely dead but not strong enough to crank. (Progressives included roadside service came to rescue) Funny thing is it didn’t die the 3 nights after it was jump started the first time. When autozone tested the battery 2...

    Elka shock rebound adjustment

Their website show this shock as stage 2 but if you hit the buy button for spyder, it shows my shock, stage 2 without the knob. My shock sure doesn’t have a knob.

Well, I bought 205/50r15 quatrec and now it’s showing 83mph when I am doing 80 and runs at 350-400 rpm higher than before. Dang it. Tire rack.com again.
