• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Any recommendations for Dealing with Hand/Wrist Pain?

I found myself gripping the bars too tightly and causing myself pain and cramping. Grip Puppies have pretty much relieved that.

    Gerbing heated jacket

My wife and I have been using Gerbing's heated garments for years. It's good quality gear. On the F3, I have installed an auxiliary fuse block under the passenger seat, using the F3's auxiliary power connection to control the block's relay and drawing power directly from the battery using a...

Eco mode - who uses it? And when?

I used it during break-in. We haven't taken any long distance rides yet but will try it when we do to see if there is any significant fuel mileage advantage. I would probably consider using it if caught in the rain or when I take it out this winter to ride in the snow, just because I can... :D

Transition from 2 wheels to 3

Reading this thread is like hearing my own story over and over again... when I began having problems getting my feet off the floorboards of my Victory Cross Country and holding the bike up at a stop with my wife aboard became more of a gamble than an adventure, I knew it was time to transition...

How do you reply when asked about the Spyder?

I tell them that there's a little learning curve; it's like learning to ride all over again. You get to find the limits of a completely new performance envelope. Then when the glazed expression sets in I add, "It's just plain fun to ride!" :)

    Foam Grips

I have Grip Puppies on my F3 and can't say that I notice any water saturation after going to the car wash - it doesn't rain much out here in the Nevada desert and I don't ride in it anymore even if it does. They were a PITA to install over my F3's grips but a big improvement.

    wireless cel charger

A quick search comes up with this if your phone is Qi-compliant (regretfully, my Galaxy S4 isn't). Looks like it works with the Ram X-mount, too.

Are there really THAT many differences between the Spyder and two wheels?

I'm still riding my Victory Cross Country and the F3 alternately. Except for reaching for that nonexistent clutch and front brake on the Spyder from time to time, I don't have any issues switching between them as they're so different.

Headed to the Hospital in the morning

I just found out that my daughter tripped over an "invisible rabbit" (her words) going downstairs; she's in a boot and hopefully won't have surgery. Hope you and she both have a quick recovery!

Owning my First Spyder F3, and drive experience.

That's how my F3T feels when it's auto downshifting.

After owning one, are you guys still hype with it, compared to before you owned it?

I have to say that my F3 is more fun than I expected. Now that I've gotten over the major issues of unlearning/relearning that come with switching from 2 wheels to 3, my inner hooligan is coming out and I find myself gunning the F3 around in ways I hadn't done with a motorcycle for decades...

Should Spyder have its own independent dealer network in addition to BRP dealers?

I'd certainly like to see service centers/service providers in place. I wouldn't take my F3 to my "local" (45 minutes away) dealer after the delivery experience they gave me. Looks like I'll be making a road trip to get my first service.

Horrible handling issue with major wind gusts

SpyderLady, I'm just becoming accustomed to my F3T (with the F3L trunk added) after a lifetime on two wheels. I live in the Carson Valley of Nevada, famous (or infamous, take your pick!) for heavy crosswinds. Initially, I felt the same way that you did on a couple of occasions - that I was...

    Just Wondering

I've broken my tailbone in the past and had real problems with it on some bike seats. None so far on the F3T.

USB port in rear topcase of F3 Ltd not connected! Anyone else?

Same here, and I installed the trunk on my F3T. I'm sure that all connections were made properly.

Advice needed for new communication system

Do have a chat with Motorcycle Dave. He'll have good advice and the gear to back it up.

    What should I get?

Take any opportunity you can to test ride each flavor. You may find that one or another just doesn't work for you (as did the RT in my case) or that one model is an immediate fit (the F3 for me). Let that be your guide as if it's not comfortable, it doesn't matter how much money you saved...

Seeking advice for entering the 3 wheel world

krfish, I can't add much to what has already been said except to second the advice to test ride where/whenever possible to see which style you like. I did that and ruled out the RT as it made my arthritic hips scream for mercy after just a couple of minutes. The F3, on the other hand, it...

    2019 F3 Limited handwarmers

Having heard many complaints about the F3 heated grips, I decided to stick with heated gloves/glove liners. The only problem with them is that I have to remember to put them in the trunk... :D

    Spyder still stuck in storage

I feel your pain... we've had about one good ryding day here. Mother Nature can't make up her mind whether it's summer or winter; spring seems to be out of the question. Rain all week and maybe more snow up in the Sierras!
