• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    New Sena 20S

I haven't tried it, but I don't see why not. That's the whole reason to use bluetooth instead of something proprietary. Not trying to hijack the thread, Sena's are all very well respected, high quality comm units and the new one sure packs the features in. I just hate having a boom in my face.

    Excessive tire weights

Yep, it's a love hate relationship :) But the love is stronger than the hate. Of course you'll have to get used to 3 wheels... it's going to move you around more. You'll get past that eventually. But it does sound like you have some issues that need to be addressed. Keep at it, it's worth...

    Excessive tire weights

Take it back to them, explain what you're feeling and seeing and hearing from other Spyder owners. If they hear you, they'll make it right. If not, might need to shop around. At this point I would give them the benefit of the doubt. Since your dealer is doing the laser alignments I would say...

OEM FOX Adjustable Shock Kit with Sway Bar vs BajaRon

I had to add a comment here: If you're thinking about the RSS kit for your 2013 ST, don't do it unless you're willing to do some major tweaking. The shocks are 1/2" shorter which results in unwanted (and uneven) camber. You have to adjust the shock pre-load way out to compensate. If you're...

Doesn't trailer mode also adjust your brake bias and how the nanny sensitivity? I would think this would be a bad thing...

http://www.uclear-digital.com/us/ Just sayin' ;) I do like that there seem to be new communications choices every year and they keep getting better.

    STS

ST stands for Sport Touring. The -S is Sport which is the trim level which includes mostly cosmetic changes, a different seat, cruise control, floorboards. Nothing "sporty" is added in the -S trim level on the ST model. Most insurance companies were quite confused when the ST's first came...

    2013 rt problem tread

Any chance of sharing these? I'd like to see where you're taking the temps from (and what you're getting)

Just means you have to try harder ;)

Why does the Cooling fan run after stopping the Spyder?

Kepople, your temp is nearly all the way up and the fan isn't on when the engine is running or stopped? It shouldn't ever get that high with the engine running. Engine off, however, it's nothing to be too concerned with. The coolant stops flowing and the temp sensor gets really hot at that...

    installing Garmin Nav unit

Sun is shining... park the Spyder... go inside for some tea and a pastry... While inside the sky opens up and dumps all over it. Now we're 500 miles from home with no GPS. It's not the end of the world, but it sure adds stress to a normally stress-free ride home. Why not just get a cheap...

    Laser Alignment

Oh... and the laser alignment helped mine quite a bit. Was 1" in on the right and 7/8" in on the left (at least they were close to even). After setting them back to 0'ish, I no longer have that wandering feel I had at Interstate speeds... and it run's straight as could be, hands off the bars...

    Laser Alignment

I was under the impression that the unequal length arms result in changes to the camber when loaded/unloaded. To compensate for your camber being off, if you have adjustable shocks, you can adjust your preload then check the camber with the suspension loaded... found out the fox shocks that BRP...

Vehicle Stability System - Any Way to Make it Less Sensitive?

16 weeks give or take... probably another year before it "felt right" putting any real force behind it.

No heat issues after removing splash pans on ST and RT

Fan can did a wonderful job of redirecting the heat away from my right foot on my '09. In fact, I still have the fan can taking up space in the garage...

    Strange Discussion

BRP has specifically stated you should not shift if the resulting engine rpm will be below 3500 or you will cause excessive and premature wear on your centrifugal clutch. If you do this, and your centrifugal clutch fails, they will NOT cover it under warranty. The centrifugal clutch doesn't...

    Purchase

More or less, yes. There aren't a lot of deals to be had on 2014's right now as they're pre-orders. Once they've been sitting in the showrooms for months you'll find more dealers ready to make you a bargain deal. There ARE some great deals to be found on 2013's right now. For example...

    Jacking the Spyder and supporting

This one works well, very low minimum clearance so it works well under the Spyder. http://goo.gl/jCao89 Zombie thread btw ;)

    BajaRon's done it again

There's no harm in trying the Ronbar with the stock shocks. My wife's ST-S has just that. I'm forcing her to try it out for a while before putting the fox shocks on. My concern with the RSS kit is that it appears to be built for a 690 lb RS and our ST's are 864 lbs (or 899 with the bags and...

    Convert to 2013 Fenders

Pretty sure you can get the stock colors as well instead of the two-tone you've found. I think those are offered as an enhancement for that RSS "look". Straight replacement parts should be all one color and match the way you're expecting.
