• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

A Request Passed On To All - Add your Spyder/Ryker Year/model to your Sig Line!

Couldn't get it to work. Went into settings, added signature text and it appeared to save it OK but none of my old posts showed my signature. Even gave it 24 hours but it still didn't show up but then as I was posting this reply I saw the little checkbox in the bottom left corner of this reply...

    Bluetooth Issues on 2020 RT-L

On my 2020RT I never had any success getting either of my 2 Android phones to pair with the bike via bluetooth. I also had an issue getting my older SENA headset to pair so I tried a Cardo which paired perfectly from the start and has been flawless since. I pair the bike's onboard radio with...

Got my 3 year warranty from Imotorsports!

I paid $671 a few months ago from a dealer in AZ. I was quoted almost $1600 by the dealer that sold me the bike. I got a great price on the bike from them though so I don't know what they were thinking when they gave me that price for the warranty.

Will these 155/60R15 Vredestein's be too narrow for RT?

AFAIK, the rear does not require balancing - you just need to find a shop that will mount it correctly (with the dots lined up). My first rear tire change I did myself but took the tire/wheel to my local Can Am dealer (large multi-location dealer) for removing the old tire and mounting the new...

    Spyders passing HDs

Mostly pickup trucks do this where we ride. Not sure what the big deal is about being passed. Personally, I don't like holding up faster riders on my butt (whether I am in my car, truck or Spyder) so I quickly pull to the side of my lane as soon as I see them in my mirrors. I had a guy on...

2020 RT Limited Rear Suspension - Fault Warning?'

Highly likely.:( I have no trust/faith in my local dealer(s) after seeing some of the results of dealer visits my riding friends have had.

2020 RTL Sporadic Limp Home Mode-Engine warning

If it does turn out to be your brake light switch, no harm in trying the WD40 of course but I suspect the switch might need to be replaced. There is a new part number for the 2020RT which might indicate that there was an issue with the original PN and they had to improve/change the innards. I...

    Code C0040 and C006C

Found the switch (PN 710008326) locally (Atlanta area) but it appears to be the only one on the shelf in the south US. Can Am has them in Quebec but a 2-3 week wait, possibly longer due to holidays etc. Looks the same as the old one so I'm guessing they changed the innards and/or beefed up the...

    Code C0040 and C006C

Sooooo, I got it up in the air today and took a look see. When I depressed the brake pedal I got no brake lights. I tried to manually move the plunger of the switch and I got an intermittent brake light: Not every time and the light was never on solid - it flickered. Looks like the switch...

    Code C0040 and C006C

Can you or Jetfixer please confirm the part number for our 2020RT is 710005480 - SWITCH BRAKE, $39.99 ? I will call round tomorrow and see if I can find one and change it myself rather than bother with a warranty repair ordeal. Thanks.

    Code C0040 and C006C

Thanks. My buddy who was riding behind me on Friday explained what my brake lights were doing - in your thread above you quoted: This is exactly what he said mine were doing. As and update, yesterday while on my way to my car in my garage to run some errands, I pressed down on the brake...

    Code C0040 and C006C

Thanks for posting this Wmoater. My 2020RT with just under 10K miles just starting throwing the same codes (C006C, C0040, VSS error, limp mode). Stopping and restarting the bike clears the codes and the bike is fine again until it happens again. Just starting doing this on my last two 300...

    Email hacking

This has been happening for years with businesses. They spoof an email address so that it looks like it is coming from a legitimate sender. This happened to my business and our company email got blacklisted so that even legitimate email was "blocked" by our customers. There is no protection...

Rear Kenda OEM Tire Mileage Concern.

If it is actually red like the picture on their website, they probably inserted a small strip of red rubber between the carcass and the tread rubber before the tire is molded (tread rubber bonded to carcass). Much like how whitewalls and raised letter tires were(are?) made. Tire...

    2020 RT Panel Removal

To get to the gps plug on the right side you only need to pull 3 pieces of tupperware and 2 of those pieces are small and just pull off by hand (clips). The long piece that stretches up to the front by the frunk is held with 3 large torx screws, 2 push pins and several clips. I have removed...

Need a new trimmer. Stihl or Echo?

I have both. The pros mostly all use Stihl but I have used Echo products for 30+ years with no issues. I have a Stihl chainsaw that I had have for 25 years and use about once every 5 years and it still starts and runs great. I have an Echo straight string trimmer that I have had almost as...

Draining Oil vs Sucking up oil .....

Or, buy ramps that have removeable incline runners. I bought a pair off of Craigslist for $50 which work a treat on the Spyder.

Draining Oil vs Sucking up oil .....

Home Depot and Lowes sell indoor/outdoor carpet runners that you can use to place the car ramps on top of to keep the ramps from sliding forward. Wrap a 2x4 at one end and attach carpet with staples, cut the runners to the exact same length and you will be able to position the bike to exactly...
