• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2021 RTL panel removal

Looking at your picture, the next panel to remove is the smaller lower one that is below the seats. It just pops off working from the back to the front. Unsnap it from the area near the passenger foot peg and then slowly release it moving to the front. IIRC, there are maybe 4-6 friction...

HowTo: TricLED 2020 RT rear run/brake and yellow turn signal

This post is more of a Review and How To than just a review. Here a link to the product page. You can buy this from several places. Value Accessories currently has the best price and free shipping. Installation instructions that come with the kit from the Slingmods website (an SL sponsor)...

Review: Spyderpops RT base LED flashing brake light strip

Here are a few pics. If you look at the first pic, you can see where I had to stick it sideways in the channel at the top compared to it fitting flat in the channel at the bottom. Probably hard to tell from the photos but you can see how the led parts are angled differently at the top...

Review: Spyderpops RT base LED flashing brake light strip

VALKROCKET: We have strayed well off topic for MONK'S review here but I would be interested to see your DIY when you post it as your '21 bike might be slightly different than mine. You obviously didn't completely follow the directions they provided with the kit. ;) The instructions say to...

Review: Spyderpops RT base LED flashing brake light strip

Maybe there is more than one mold that BRP uses for that rear plastic piece but the led strips didn't fit flat into the upper channel at all. It would fit if I laid it in there sideways but if I did that, I would have had to put a severe twist in it to get it 'round the bend. I wound up...

Review: Spyderpops RT base LED flashing brake light strip

I'll try to post some in the next few days. I will say though now that it is dark outside, the light does look very cool (and bright). No way to miss that turn signal.

Review: Spyderpops RT base LED flashing brake light strip

You might want to hold off on the TricLED run-brake-turn signal LED. I just got mine installed and it was a bit of a PITA to install but the worst part is that the LED strip doesn't fit in the body channel very well (led strip is too wide) so it basically only adheres at the top and the bottom...

    BaJa Ron’s sway bar install

That's a very ingenious way to get your Spyder's front end off the ground.

    Finding the right GPS...

FWIW, I use the Value Accessories ramball mount ($20) that replaces one of the top handlebar clamp screws on my '20 RT. Along with the short ramball extension (2-1/2"?), there is a great deal of 3 axis adjustment room. I have the top of the Nav sitting just below the bottom of the dash in my...

    What model do you recommend

My 2 cents...... I rode a 2020 F3 and the 2020 RT before quickly deciding on the RT. The seat was the deal breaker for me on the F3 - the sitting position was too confining. I like to move around a little bit and the RT seat is more like what others have posted about sitting "on" the RT...

I want a lanyard on my zumo

If something like this is available for the XT you can drill a small hole into the lower side and run some type of safety cable and maybe loosely loop it around your handlebar or something. I have one of these on a 660 and it fits very snugly - it actually fits so tight that I put felt bits on...

BRP website for ordering parts is back working. I was able to successfully place an order today.

Title and Registration still not here fm purchase end Sept!

^^This. If they don't have a tracking number, they are incompetent. Either they didn't send the package or it is lost. I would demand a 2nd set of complete paperwork (with a tracking number) be sent immediately. Take the bike back to them if they continue to be difficult. Lawyer as last...

HowTo: Shad top box install on 2021 RT base

Looks great Monk. I think I like the look better than the factory box.:2thumbs: Did you have some pics of how it mounts to the LinQ base? Thanks.

HowTo: Shad top box install on 2021 RT base

Pics of the Shad mount plate on the LinQ adapter and maybe some pics from a distance with the top case on the bike (back and sides)? I don't have an immediate need for a top case now but based on your play by play, it sounds like a fairly easy install and inexpensive option vs the OEM - I might...

HowTo: Shad top box install on 2021 RT base

Did you end up mounting the Shad quick release mount plate to the LinQ adapter with screws? How did you position it and get it all squared up, level, etc.? Very interested in seeing some detailed photos when you get around to it. Nice job.

A word of caution when removing (and raising) the driver's seat - 2020 Spyder RT

Lucky I had the smaller screw I guess - it is a screw that I had from one of my previous motorcycles that held a tupperware piece in place. I may contact the dealer or I may decide to fix it myself by drilling through the hinge and just use a thru bolt which will be much sturdier. I have been...

A word of caution when removing (and raising) the driver's seat - 2020 Spyder RT

So I got the new "heated seat" back on the bike and when I tried to use the same screw that held the strut rod to the seat, I quickly realized it was way too big. Hmmmm. I got the old seat out and compared the 2 seats and lo and behold someone buggered up the old seat by using too large a...
