• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Tally Thread: I purchased a new 2020 RT.

Hindsight is 20/20. What I remember particularly is the soreness in my arms first time I tried a Spyder. I believe we take our experience on two wheels with our arms as as an upper body and steering support without realizing that it isn't necessary to hold on quite that tightly on a spyder. A...

Does the 2014 RT come with a Battery tender pigtail?

It's a 5 minute job to put a pigtail in yourself. My next project is to put a plug for my heated riding gear in somewhere the dash switches go. I figure that fused pig-tail can do double duty and supply the heated gear when it's not in the garage on a maintainer. Jobs like these are...

    Super Visor

A visor might be just the trick for that last 40 minutes before sunset. For me though, in bright sunlight, nothing beats a tinted and mirrored face shield. Out here in the arid plains - it's a necessity.

HowTo: 2020 RT Oil Change Warning

Heh, I'll mention one *dubious benefit to dealer servicing...I noticed I was missing the right side lower air dam just below the mirror. Stopped by the dealer and pointed it out - had to have been forgotten when I last had it serviced as I've have it under a service contract and they're the...

    Genius Maps question

The Vehicle Connection Package purchase allows Genius maps to work through the BRP Connect system. It's also how Genius maps keeps a roof over their heads. The Pro Guidance Package enables turn-by-turn voice instructions in your language, automatic rerouting, speed limit alerts, POI along the...

Test Ride, do you let them?

Me? I've never purchased a motorcycle that I haven't test driven, or in the case of showroom new, at least test driven a demo unit. When I sold my Goldwing, I let the new-owner-to-be test ride it. If I were him, I'd walk away without a test drive. I'm just not rich enough to impulse buy a...

    belt tension

Now that I've got 8000+ mile on my 2018, I notice belt vibration a lot less - and I'd think that would agree with a lessening of belt tension over time. I really only notice it when at 75mph+ AND a crosswind, otherwise it's not there. I'd be really concerned about the bearing in a dampener -...

    Deadwood and Sturgis Rally’s

I'd love to go, but *no way in hell* would I go with the current spike in COVID-19 infections. I feel guilty though - cause I know some are gonna catch it there and it's really hard to not say to someone "you asked for it".

What type of products do you folks use to keep your beasts looking good??

Wash - Blue Coral Wash and Wax (big jug only $3.88 at Wally World) (I'm avoiding S-100 which I use on my other bike - me thinks it's a bit too caustic) Tough Grime Removal - Turtle Wax Clean Finish Polishing Compound...

    Best helmet comm system

I have found with my Sena's 20S Evo's ,if I plug in a quality set of wired earbuds, I'm getting the best of everything. The earbuds dampen wind noise much better than the helmet itself alone, and the sound is great with plenty of bass.

    Gave up on BRP connect

Not really having any problems at all with BRP Connect and my Samsung Note 10. My only recommendation for Android users is to set your screen timeout to a longer period as BRP Connect need to run on top. You want to give your self sufficient time to close the trunk, start the bike, and wait...

2018 RT Limited. How to keep the rubber antenna gasket in place?

OK - just to resurrect this thread -> Does anyone have a part number for the antenna rubber boot on a 2018 RTL? I've seen another thread that mentioned a part number, but that was for a 2011 - and I can't seem to find it in any 2018 parts diagram.

Apologies to others that have posted about poor wet handling

Heh, I take into consideration what others here post, so I'm well aware of what I could "possibly" expect in performance from my spyder. It's just that I'm personally not seeing those negatives. That's why I pipe up from time to time. I'm just short of 7K on the spyder, and other than an OEM...
