• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

How Much Trouble Am I In?

FIXED. I went to my Spyder tech a few minutes before opening time. It took him 2.4 minutes to: A) open the seat and remove the post. B) Tighten the loose bolts in the back of the seat which seemed to cause the problem. I had him remove the post and I kept it if I decide to put it back on...

How Much Trouble Am I In?

The last time or two I refueled the seat release did not release easily. I looked at it and did not see any adjustment on the release. I had a real hard time Saturday but managed to get the seat open and gassed up. When I got home I tried it again and could not release the seat. I only live...

    Need advice please

I am sure most will advise to go to a dealer and sit on the different models. I have not but think most sit about the same. Little difference I think. Go sit and see. There are custom seat manufactures out there if needed. Good luck. :spyder2:

    Repeated repair problems

My tech at Coyote Powersports, Boerne, TX attended the BRP school right after they got the dealership. I knew him earlier and he was a top mechanic. He said he was there two weeks for training and it was intense and very good. I am lucky to have him, but have had few, if any problems (knock...

    New Ryder

As I have said many times, tire pressure is important for a smooth ride. Try 18 front and 30 rear and go up or down from there. Enjoy. :spyder2:

    CB on the new Spyders?

Idaho, My CBs on my Spyders worked but not as well as my GW. My GW CB was made by Clarion. My GW is a 2002 so recent GW CBs may be made by Radio Sound. My 2014 had a Fire Stick antenna and was grounded differently than the installation instructions, which were not correct. It worked okay but...

    CB on the new Spyders?

Yes, you can add a BRP CB to a 2017RT or older. I had them on my 2011 and 2014. I did not put one on my 2017 RT.....why?? The BRP CB systems are poor at best and cost about $1,000 for the unit, antenna and harness. Compared to my Gold Wing CB, they are poor. BRP does not make a CB harness...

Guys and Gals, it's be fun....

I triked my '02 GW in '05 with a Motor Trike kit. It is a solid axle and I love it. It is a great long distance cruiser and you will love it too. It will take a few miles to get used to it but you will enjoy every mile. Tire pressure is important. I run 41 front with a bias tire and 24...

    2017, RT limited

I paid $23,000 for Mr. White, a 2017 RT-S....new with warranty. Offer $22K and see how far the dealer jumps. You can always go up.....24 ain't bad but he does not want a "three wheeler" in his used inventory. He will take 23. Good luck. :spyder2:

    First DEAD Battery

Mr. Ak....I always keep my Spyder in a heated barn too. This afternoon my barn thermometer showed 115, and hotter this weekend. As I ride 12 months a year, I change out every three years. I know you ride in remote areas as I do. In West Texas with no cell service I don't need a "no start"...

    First DEAD Battery

I change out my batteries every three years, needed or not. I plug in to a maintainer after my rides, needed or not. When you get your new battery, charge it for 24 hours as it will not be 100% when you get it. Good luck. :spyder2:

    How to view the clock??

Hi, it looks like you have a new RT. It is help to all if you list the model and year of your Spyder in your signature. I never had your problem with my clock but I would bet the owners manual will solve your problem. Good riding. :spyder2:

Texas Spyders in the Hills rally Oct. 18-20, 2018

Alamo Fiesta RV park is very nice. It is at exit 543 on IH10. As said, it is across from Coyote Powersports and just down the street from a Wal-Mart and close to a HEB grocery store which is at IH10, exit 540. The rally is at exit 539. I live two miles from Coyote and would invite you folks...
