• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Mirrors for the 2020 RTL

BikerB, Got those on my RTL. Though they definitely give you a wider view right and left of the Spyder, they really don't help with traffic directly behind you. I am looking for a mirror that sticks out a little more from the handlebars to improve the rear view.

Camera mount options for 2021 RTL?

Link from a previous post. Scroll to bottom of page, 2nd to last reply. I wanted an unobstructed view, and to be able to reach the camera for adjustments. ...... and I got it. PM me if you have any questions. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?133378-Camera-install&highlight=camera

Get your kicks on Route 66

It's really simple guys. Go to the pic you want to post and open it in photos (assuming you are using Microsoft). Next click on the crop icon at the top of the picture (looks like a square with a diagonal line through it). On the right side click on the rotate box, rotate the pic to vertical...

    Kangaroo at 120mph

Travelling 120mph and hitting even a bird would do a hell of a lot more damage to that bike.:( Not to mention he being able to stand next to the poor Roo or even standing at all for that matter. I guess there really are miracles in this world. I bet he needed a change of shorts when he got home. ;)

    RT Rear Panel Storage

Damn thing is an awkward size, so I wrapped it in a quilt and store it in my office, far from anywhere it might have an accident. Don't ask where I put my top case when I'm using the rear cover. That thing is HUGE. YIKES!

What USB Charger are you using in 2020 RT-L's blank switch hole - now sorted!

Forget about the blank switch cover for USB. Instead get a USB splitter for your glove box and power up 2 devices at once. I can either power my camera, TomTom GPS or my Iphone at the same time depending on my needs that day. Save the blank switch cover for an on/off switch for an auxiliary...

HowTo: TricLED 2020 RT rear run/brake and yellow turn signal

I installed these about a month ago. I did not take both sides off. I was able to just remove the rear most fasteners on the side bags, pry the side out far enough for my hands to reach the left & right light harnesses (not very far in from the rear) Put a wedge in place to hold it open while I...

Removing stuck panel screws - any advice?

I've had the "locked thread" syndrome happen several times between my 18 and 21 RTL's. My solution, after removing the troublesome bolt, has been to run the same size tap down the hole to clear all that crap out of there. I even run a dye down the bolt if it looks bad. Now the bolt goes in and...

    Camera install

Mounted my GoPro Hero8 on my left mirror casing. Drilled a tiny hole in mirror casing and mounting pad(had to file the bolt head square to fit snug) and used a #6 nut & #6 32 x 1" bolt, as well as the 3M adhesive to secure the base plate in place. (these cameras are not cheap to replace). Can...

Anyone seen the 2021 Sea To Sky yet?

"Beauty is in the eye of the beholder." That's what makes us individuals. I swore when I picked up my 2018 asphalt gray RTL that it would be my last motorcycle. Fast forward to Nov. 2020..... I saw a Petrol Blue 2020 RTL and fell in love all over again. Good bye Gracie, hello Blue Belle. Yup...

USB power in extra mount hole - where did you run yours from?

I put a USB splitter in my 2021 glove box and run power to my phone and GoPro camera at the same time. Here's the link...

    USB port on 2020+ RTL.........

Billy B, I only want the cord to keep the battery charged inside the camera while videoing (is that even a word?), not to run the camera itself. Thank you for your response.

    USB port on 2020+ RTL.........

Does anyone know the power output of the USB port in the glove box of the 2020+ RTL? The reason I'm asking is that I have mounted a GoPro camera and the max power input is 5V 1-2amp. Anything higher than that will fry the camera. I would run it on it's battery power, but I don't want to keep...
