• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Resurrection...looking for Goldwing quiet...

noise... I just retired my Scorpian Exo 900 in favor of a Schuberth C3. WOW, what a difference! No more annoying whine from passing vehicle tires, MUCH less wind noise, and now I can actually hear myself think. :2thumbs:

    SWITCHED POWER SOURCE - Spyder RT - S ( SE5 2010 Model)

PC-8 kit... I used a 30" PC-8 kit with slighly modified +/- leads to the battery. I mounted the fuse panel on the center rail, under my Corbin seat in the recess where the backrest mounts. With a standard seat you'll have to mount it up front which will require long leads, or behind the battery.

Might want to check this on your RT...

lateral strut... The ideal fix for this problem is to cut a small crescent shaped piece of metal the same thickness as the mount, and insert it below the bolt before re-installing the strut and nut. This will prevent the bolt from ever sliding back down in the slot. The slot is only there...

To kill or not to kill (switch), that is the question

Can't Get That Song Outta My Head

aux fuse panel... I just installed the Eastern Beaver PC-8 panel on my RT with a Corbin seat. The Corbin seat has a recess in the bottom of the pan where the seat back mechanism is located, and this provided a perfect place to mount the panel. I kept the main fuse and relay in the area behind...

    LOC-80 and BluBridge...

I don't mind having the Spyder's audio signal wired into the hub. That allows everything from the Spyder (audio, gps, and iPod), along with a Bluetooth phone, to be sent to the helmet. The Sena unit looks as if this would be possible. I know the Schuberth SCRS (Scala) system, only allows one...

    LOC-80 and BluBridge...

I spoke to a tech at Sena several months ago regarding this unit and didn't get much positive info at that time. Looking at the unit again, it does seem that it can be used as a hub for input from the Spyder as well as a mobil phone and other devices. It will be interesting to see when it's...

    LOC-80 and BluBridge...

Pete and Eddie, Evidently the sequence at start-up is important. On my initial attempt, I tried to install the charging plug after the BluBridge was turned on, and I think that this shut the unit off. Eddie's sequence seems to work fine. Thanks, Dave

    LOC-80 and BluBridge...

After talking to Phil yesterday, I decided to find out if the BluBridge transmitter would operate while being charged. Unfortunately, it won't. If the USB charging cable is plugged in while the unit is paired and operating, the unit shuts off, and will need to be repaired when you turn it on...

    Would like some help please...

Do a search for "Phil's Mods". This system taps into the rear speaker wires and runs through a line-level converter to a Bluetooth transmitter. This system allows everything coming through the Spyder's audio system, including a GPS if attached, to be transmitted to any Blutooth helmet. I used...

    Internal speaker wiring?

Phil, I ran the right rear speaker wires around the back to the left speaker pod. I installed the LOC-80 inside the left pod and then ran an RCA to 3.5mm adapter into the trunk. I also installed a switched 12 volt port in the trunk below the standard one. This switched port will be used to...

    Need Help From Corbin Owners

Corbin seat... I've got mine adjusted full rear on the hinge bolts, and full forward on the bracket/seat attachment points... and the seat just barely clears my glove box. :cus:

    How do you mount/dismount

Mounting an RT... I mount from the left, but use a slightlyl different technique. I place my toes on the footpeg, and my heel on the left passenger board. I found that I can more easily swing my right leg forward and over the seat. :2thumbs:

    Internal speaker wiring?

headset... I just completed Phil's Bluetooth mod. This consists of tying a Scosche LOC-80 (or equivalant) into the rear speaker connections along with a stero RCA to 3.5 mm cable. From there you can go directly to a set of earbuds, or a Bluetooth transmitter. The front to rear fader controll...

    HID's

HID's... I used grommets for both the headlamps and the fog lights. You can manage to squeeze the connectors through a 5/8" hole, but I used 3/4" x 1/4" grommets. The holes I drilled in the headlamp covers was in the flat area behind the bulb. For the fog lamps I drilled in the lower sloping...
