• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    How's your Frunk?

Mine is haphazardly filed with the normal stuff, and junk, it seams to get deeper as the riding season progresses. :dontknow: Yea I have a liner. A friend of mine has a Lock Box attached to the back wall, for small arms and amo.

trans will not shift after HID install

I had similar issues with my 2011 after installing HID headlights. Others have reported strange things after installing the HID Lights (Aftermarket). The earlier models seem to have more issues with the HID's. Did you install the Isolaters that pick up power directly from the battery???? Good Luck!

    Gas cap stuck

A month ago in Florida the cap would not come off the 2012 RTL (7500 mi.) so we slowly pored a bottle of cold water over the cap. Came right off. Bought a new one and returned to the FROZEN north. We will see what happens. :spyder:

Pros and Cons of trailering Spyders

Stealth 6' x 12' All Aluminum trailer with V-nose empty 1250 lbs. Single Axel with ramp door. Tight fit but it fits with inches to spare. NOT ALL 6' Trailers have a wide enough door for the Spyder. Note the front wheel tie downs. There is no issue with nose clearance on the ramp. Works for me...

    Ready to Launch!

If I may ask, what did your mileage drop to pulling the trailer? A couple of weeks ago the wife and I trailered our Spyder to Florida and our mileage droped from 22.5 to 11.5 mpg. Ford Flex Std v6 pulling a v- nose 6 x 12 single axle all aluminum trailer. The Flex handled it well except for the...

    Terrible gas mileage

Stan, is that a US gallon or Imperial Gallon? Also do you have pure gas or the Ethanol Crap? I have a hard time getting 25 mpg with the Ethanol stuff. Thanks

    Drop-Tail Trailer Pictures and Impressions

Another Option, Stealth All Aluminum 6 x 12, Tight fit side to side, but it works. Keeps the Spyder out of the salt when traveling to Florida for great winter riding. :ohyea: No issues with the ramp

Paint protection on foot peg frame

There are many Spyder Riders that do not have total control, or range of motion in there legs or feet. This is why they ride Spyders.:clap:

    2015 RTS Service Manual

I purchased a Green Manual from E-Bay for my 2012 RT (all Models). It is a reprint of the BRP manual (with permission). It states that BRP did not publish a manual for 2012 due to minimal changes from 2011. This might be the case for the 2015's, do not know.

Gas Cap will not come off!

Happened to us a couple of weeks ago in Disney World. We poured a bottle of cold water over it and it came right off. 2012 RTL

    Stuck fuel cap

2012 RTL 7500 miles. This afternoon we stoped for gas in Disney World Florida, fuel cap would not unscrew (just clicked). After about 20 minutes and dousing it with cold water it finally came off. Do I need a new cap? Any thoughts? BTW stoped at Central Florida Power Sports to check out the F3...

2 Horse Bumper Pull Trailer for 2013 RTS

I've owned a fair number of horse trailers through the years from 2 horse bumper pulls to 4 horse gooseneck's with living quarters. I would look at a slant load with removable dividers. A ramp door would be a plus. There are a number of manufactures for this type of trailer. 4-Star is my...

Loading the RT-S onto a trailer

Lets Qualify this. I assumed you were talking an enclosed trailer. If it is 6ft tall or taller with a ramp door and door flap you are good to go on level ground. Just watch what you are doing and your head. The other thing to note is the width of the rear ramp opening and clearance between the...

Both head lights started blinking then went out

Attach a volt meter or trouble light to the input side of the HID transformer(s). Determine weather you have a loss of proper voltage or defective HID transformer. I am wondering weather the voltage regulator may be faulty.

Both head lights started blinking then went out

Not to hijack or derail this thread as it is most important to find the reason for the failing headlights. This LED technology is totally amazing, and to think we have another front row seat in watching it's development. It is like watching the space program or the Commodore 64 or the bag phone...
