• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    "Tool Kit" location?

It might be an optional accessory. But if the dealer is stripping OEM equipment off of a new machine and selling separately? Seriously? If so, I would definitely think BRP would want to know abut that.

This Tire Would Work For Ryker Front Replacement

You'd wish it had power steering

What would you change on the Ryker?

I want a lockable compartment (maybe the frunk) to keep registration / insurance papers etc. My Sportster didn't have the traditional underseat stash and I had to remember to stuff all that in my pockets when I went out to ride. It would also be nice to have a locking gas cap.

    What to buy

I will point out that the Rally has KYB shocks, not the same as the accessory Fox shocks. May be similar quality, I can't say.

bcraig, I definitely think you should do this ASAP and let us know the result.

Ryker Rally hand covers and mirrors on F3T

Don't know about fitting the Ryker guards on an F3, but they are sold by several places for motorcycles. The handlebar and grip should be quite similar, one of them (or all of them) might fit. Twisted Throttle is probably a good place to start.

    Horn

Plus one for the Stebel Nautilus. One farkel that really did get me more space was a set of Hyperlites (flashing brake light setup). I bent a piece of sheet metal for a bracket to mount them adjacent to my license plate. When I stop, most people leave a full car length - or more - behind me. If...

Oh, come on! My Brakes Are Locked Up!

If all three are hot, it might not be the park brake... on cars it doesn't engage all wheels, just one axle. If all three are hot, it's probably not a wheel cylinder problem. Master cylinder not retracting, main brake line with some dirt in it acting as a check valve, or possibly something to...

What would you change on the Ryker?

Take away that see-thru gap under the upper body, and use that space for a little more gas tank volume.

Anyone Try Painting The Wheel Accent Inserts?

Hence the name, Plasti-DIP. When I were a younger man, you'd open a can of it and dip your plier handles or whatever in it to get a rubbery textured grip.

If/When Ryker Chip Key Mechanically Fatigues

That lanyard is just what I was thinking of! IF it can be programmed to suit a Ryker I'll take it. Of course, car dealers get a pretty penny to program a spare key, so who knows.

    Ryker Sticker Looks Good!

I'm really surprised that BRP didn't put this sticker (or similar) on every one sold. In a similar vein, I was talking to the dealer yesterday and he was lamenting that there is no advertising for the Rykers at a corporate level. Gotta get the word out if you want to sell product!

    Swaybar on the Rally Edition

How is your sway bar easier to install than factory? Doesn't it connect to roughly the same points and run through the same area?? :dontknow:

    Wheels falling off?

Yeah, somebody was talking about needing a special torque wrench, and I just commented that 250 ft-lbs is fairly standard for a 1/2" drive torque wrench.

    Harley Clamping Down on Owners

We've got a lot of HDs around with open pipes. And you know what? If you have a late-model car with the windows rolled up, air on, maybe have the stereo on.... you probably won't notice even the loudest HD coming up on the freeway.

    Harley Clamping Down on Owners

Well, I would certainly agree that a lot of guys want their bikes to be super loud so they can annoy people - and they do. But I would also point out that if you are only allowed to use OEM mufflers then your older bike may be scrap. Any idea where to find NOS mufflers for a 1986 Yamaha SRX600...

Regular or premium, that is the question???

Just for further reference, I stopped for gas in the cage this weekend... Arizona prices and octanes. Regular, 87 octane. Midgrade, 89 octane, 30 cents per gallon more than regular. Premium, 91 octane, 20 cents per gallon more than midgrade.

    Wheels falling off?

Just for grins, I checked my existing 1/2" drive torque wrench. It has settings up to 250 ft-lbs. I don't think that is out of the ordinary. I certainly wouldn't expect any decent dealer shop to need a different torque wrench just for Ryker hubs.
