• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does ECO mode actually effect throttling?

So if you have a pool would you block off 40% of it? If you have a 50" television would you block off 40%? We buy these things for fun. Why anyone would want only 60% of the fun is beyond me.

Does ECO mode actually effect throttling?

I didn't realize it can be deactivated. I can't speak for others but I don't buy toys like this for fuel economy! But even with that said I realize BRP's need to be be competitive in the market. If I can just switch the ECO off I should be fine. Thanks guys. Once again the wisdom here is...

    NEED INFO. About FLORIDA...

A must do in Miami is El Rey De Las Fritas. Fritas are Cuban burgers and this place is the original and the absolute best. Google it, GPS it and go. If you can eat just one you're a better man than me!

Does ECO mode actually effect throttling?

So let me get this straight. I'm in traffic, need to gun it to avoid some idiot and ECO mode cuts down on my ability to accelerate? Or I'm just out having fun gunning the crap out my Rotax in lower gears and the ECO mode tries to send me over the handlebars? All in the name of putting better...

Does ECO mode actually effect throttling?

Is the ECO mode on the 14s nothing more than a reminder on the screen? Seems like I read somewhere that it actually affects throttling. Is that true?

Do the 08s and 09s have fewer issues?

Thanks. Looking to buy an 09 so I wanted the forum's wisdom. Now about the recalls. If I get the vin is it possible for my dealer to look up recalls that have or have not been done? Will BRP still do recall work after five years have gone by?

Do the 08s and 09s have fewer issues?

Looking for feedback on service related issues on the original 08 and 09 Spyders I've read here that the early models were less problematic. That the relative simplicity was actually a good thing. True?

    Spyders Underpowered?

I read your post and read the replies and one word comes to mind. Safety. Are the ninjas quicker? Most definitely. But do they provide the safety of a three wheeled monster? I think we all know the answer to that. I don't know about the rest of you but I've lost too many friends and yes...

    Spyder evolution

Found an interesting webpage you guys might like. You can quickly go from year to year to see the evolution of these beautiful machines. Maybe it's just me but I prefer the simplicity of the early years. The 08 and 09 RS's were so perfect but as with anything evolution is inevitable. Again...

    Newbie ! I need a little help please !

Do not overfill. I am not a mechanic and only go by what I'm told but I had to replace my evaporation canister because I was overfilling my tank. I used to fill it right to the top but after that I only put 4 gallons in at a time. See this is where we miss Scotty. Scotty would always weigh...

New England Can am dealers just don't seem to want to sell this product :(

Well this has been an interesting thread to say the least. After returning to New England after three years in the south I'm noticing that Spydermania just hasn't caught on up here like it has in the south. So if dealers aren't making sales it's understandable why they just aren't willing to...

Are there any other smart phones other than an Iphone that the RT talks to?

I got pulled over one time in Savannah for playing my tunes too loud so beware of cops with nothing better to do than recite the local noise ordinance!

Always loved snowmobiling. Figure I'll just get a snowmobile suit and do some road snowmobiling. Maybe put a set of chains on the rear tire! :roflblack:

    Hey everyone I'm baaa-aaack

Been out of commission for a while. Not sure how many of the oldtimers are still around but I figured I'd check in and say hey. I've left year round Spyder ryding in Florida and I'm back in New England at least for now. Long story and yes there's a woman involved. I loved Florida but she didn't...
