• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Still no DPS

Scotty , I disagree with your position on this. I would be far more upset that that my dealer did his showroom unit first instead of a customer that already purchased the RT from him. This is a blunt statement that he feels his potential sales in the future are far more important than the...

    Another fire -

Donzo-It has been asked numerous times now and I'm sure you just missed it :dontknow: but its really important to know .... had the evap vent hose recall been done? And one area where Firefly and I agree is about filing with the NHTSA. IE: If you had the recall done and it still had a fire it...

    Lamonts BBQ

Wow, Good for you. I don't see anyone over here beating up lamonts barbeque , why do you have to rain on Spydertalks parade. When Spyders in the Smokies was originally set up by Billy Bob after a ton of expense and thought process and collaborating with Spydertalk to make it a...

    AWSOME SPYDER!!

The chain was necessary due to the fact the the Hyabusa motor doesn't have a belt drive.... Yep- This Spyder does not have a Rotax in it , it has been swapped for a 200hp fire breather... I read about it about 6 months ago on a Europe forum , I can't remember where. Schweeeeeet :2thumbs:

    Vibration

Well , let me define the nature of this vibration. It really cannot be confused with a wheel weight issue. This vibration feels like there is almost something grinding or grating metal to metal and you feel it as a buzz in the bars and feet. like the motor is not mounted with rubber mounts but...

    Vibration

truthfully , Carols was the first I rode without the vibration , otherwise I would have assumed it was a normal characteristic. Once its gone you go WOW!!!

    Vibration

Ive ridden 3 that do , Carols Blue RTS was the only one that didn't. Since my repair the dealer fixed their demo (said it was worse than mine). Good point on the touchup paint , I didn't ask but looked with the panel off and sure enough theres a fresh black spot where they ground it. Thats...

    Vibration

Here is the fix guys- surprised its not in bulletin form... My Black RTS did the same thing- My wifes did not. At last oil change Dealer called BRP after checking belt tension etc. , they said there had been some reports of the engine isolation strut (The one they added to the RT and now will...

    2011 RT

Wow- now we've gone to endangering customers. :yikes: My wife and I had better park our RTS's now since we have the stock shocks . In fact Our last western NY group ride where there were 9 RTS's with stock shocks who all loved the handling should park em too. Lamont and a few others have...

    2011 RT

Bill, Upgrading to a new front end shock calibration isn't anywhere close to recall status. I own 2 RTS's , one is ridden by my wife and the other , me . She runs her shocks full stiff and I run mine one notch from full stiff. Stiffer shocks aren't anything I need nor does she at this point ...

    RT-S Speakers

Couple things- Has anyone looked at the backside of the front cavities where the speakers reside? I have not (I've only had the grills off when running accessory wires) and I am wondering on how it is acoustically. (Is it a wide open area with no enclosure (bad) or does it have a chamber. If...

    Trailering with cover?

I should clarify, the 622 is staying home this trip , we are pulling one of our RTS's from Upstate NY to Maggie Valley NC This Friday for a ten day stay on my new Aluma 6 x 10 flatbed. I have the cover pictured in the lower pic provided by ticketbait. I concur that trailering with a vehicle...

    Trailering with cover?

Anyone attempted it? Shooting down to NC this week , both travel days look WET, my trailer has a great 30" frontal stone shield but the residual waterspray will make a mess of the RT by the time we get there. Just wondering if anyone had towed with the cover in place. :helpsmilie:

    Another way to tow?

I'm glad YOU typed that last sentence so we didn't have to....... :roflblack:

    RT-S Speakers

Pop off the front speaker grille- they snap right off with NO TOOLS , you can then measure them , they are NOT 3 1/2" .
