• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Washing Your Spyder....

I think he's referring to the lower drive stuff like the sprockets, belt, brakes, etc. There gets to be quite a bit of grime on those components, especially brake dust.

    Anyone researching a turbo Ryker?

It's not the same engine. The turbo 900 is a much more robust version, i.e. pistons, heads, and crank. Same displacement but a different engine to accommodate the boost, heat, etc. The snowmobile application goes from 90 hp to 150 hp with the noted changes.

    Go Pro

We mount them on the side of the helmet free from the moving parts. As far as aiming? That will take some practice with trial and error.

    Go Pro

Hero 5 Session here. It's smaller than the others, cube shaped, excellent HD Quality. I've been using these for years in snowmobiling, a much harsher environment than on our Spyders. Takes time and practice to not only capture raw video but also in the editing. You'll want to look into an...

It's how we Roll in Wisconsin

On an earlier post I had mentioned a couple of my hobbies during the long winter months here in Wisconsin, snowmobiling and producing videos of some of our activities. It looks like our season is coming to an end with the forecast of rains and warmer temps. I have one last video to share from...

    Snowmobiling in Wisconsin

It's been an epic month of Winter weather here in Wisconsin. As I post this on 3-3-2019 the local temperature will be -9/9 Below Zero tomorrow morning just south of Green Bay. Needless to say it's gonna be awhile before my Spyder comes out to play. In the meantime, I'm spending quite a bit of...

    Insurance Cost

$172 with State Farm. I think the deductible is a grand and we have all of our other insurance with them to keep the costs down. Full coverage comes off in the fall and back on in the spring.

    In search of storage

Yes, I do the same on our Personal Watercraft which is a bit short on storage. Just about the right size for spare glasses, sun screen, etc.

    Millennials and Harley Davidson

Nothing really new here but I thought it worthy of sharing as it describes the tastes of younger consumers when it comes to the bigger bikes for touring. I'd opine that the Harley's and Spyders are as different as Apples and Oranges but they do have similar price points and they share the same...

No new Farkles for me for long time

Good choice. The last time I was in your position I was offered assistance in writing my resume. (I didn't think I needed help but I was wrong) I found that resumes are constantly changing. Companies use computer programs that search for key words and phrases in resumes. For example; I took the...

    Camera for motorcycle

OK folks, let me share my experiences with the cameras. I added a vid camera to my helmet about 7 years ago primarily for snowmobiling. I don't recall the company but it was one of the lower end cameras and was OK. It eventually failed and parts were almost impossible to find so I upgraded to a...

No new Farkles for me for long time

Sometimes we have to take one step back to take two steps forward. It's happened to me and many others when changing jobs.

No new Farkles for me for long time

Deanna, you may already know this but thought I should mention that the holidays are a slow time for hiring for Full Time. Once the holidays pass and we're into a new year everything kicks in, new budgets, new hires, etc. It sounds like you've already turned the corner and good luck with all...

    Help them where they live.....

Just for the sake of discussion and with all due respect...Haven't we been doing that since 1945? U.S.Foreign Aid for 2017 was more than 40 billion dollars. The two countries receiving the most are Afghanistan and Israel. I agree with the speaker, we should be encouraging them to stay and...

Which is best for storage this winter?

What He Said... Either way you should be fine. I've done it both ways with success. Only related problems I've had were on the smaller engines like lawnmowers and leaf blowers that tend to get gummed up over winter months.

    Ryker Maintenance

Happy with mine I have the 900 ACE in the Ski Doo Blizzard and last winter it ran flawless. Very smooth, quiet, and plenty of torque in the low end. I realize the Ryker is a different application but I would liken the 900 as the little brother to the 1330. Similar in design and the service...
