• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Question about a sway bar

Deer, Not a problem. Many of us buy these trikes for specific reasons and to explore capabilities that other bikes/trikes do not possess. This does not seem to be of particular interest to you and that is fine by me. Everybody gets to have what they want and nobody gets to judge the other...

    Question about a sway bar

Deer30084, I can only speak in my case but when I rode my F3-S home from the dealer, my expectations for less body lean were not met with the standard anti-sway bar. I began reading posts on this forum and noted that some had added an RT anti-sway bar that reduced body lean to some extent from...

First Use of a Krikit II V-Belt Tension Gauge

Whoa! Does that mean that my measured 195-200 pounds with my Krikit placed on the center of the belt between the two pullys means that the belt is WAY over-taught? The reason I ask this is that I had heard numbers like 200-250 bandied about as the correct taughtness.

First Use of a Krikit II V-Belt Tension Gauge

JC, Helpful. Where does one fined the "recommended scale" for my F3-S?

    How long is your stub?

If anybody gives a detailed answer to this ambiguous question, I am calling it TMI :yikes:

First Use of a Krikit II V-Belt Tension Gauge

Thanks Mike, The rear tire was on the ground when I took my readings. Actually, in terms of wear, there is no significant wear noted on any of the three tires. I have a Ronbar and keep the fronts at a recommended 19 pounds and the rear at 29 pounds and everything seems to be working well...

First Use of a Krikit II V-Belt Tension Gauge

I have been reading some of the threads on this forum about belt tension and decided that I ought to know how to use a Krikit II V-Belt Tension Gauge (Part# 91132). For about $30 off Amazon, I acquired one and used it for the first time after reading the instructions that came with the gauge...

    BRP belt tensioner

Your story about the Porsche/VW story is quite relevant to the current issues of the belt drive/possible engine vibes we feel in the current Spyders. I think it was as recently as 2014 that the Honda CRV had an inherent vibration that caused Honda Motors of America untold hours and hairpulling...

I like My New F3T but She Needs Some Improvments!

Mike, I see your keen sense of humor coming through. I went to your website and was amazed at all of the accomplishments you have had in the R/C Helicopter world as well as cinematography. I apologize for getting so hard on you but there are just some things that we can't change. I have an SM6...

    F3 in an Autocross

Apparently, here is a 215kph video of an F3 with a windshield no less? I couldn't see the speed on what appeared to be an Ipad or some kind of device. 215 kph = 133.595 mph If he didn't have a windscreen, I guess 135 mph seems possible?

    F3 in an Autocross

Ran across this old thread that has been updated. As luck would have it, I rode my F3-S to an SCCA Solo event yesterday in Moultrie, GA to meet some friends that build/race Stalkers here in Florida. Their Stalker AXR has 330 horsepower at the rear wheels and weighs about 1700 pounds. It has 14"...

The Differences Between Complaining and Whining

The responses to my complaints about whining have been met with very thoughtful insights. Hopefully, some of our fellow posters that are frustrated with one aspect or another of our beloved Can-Am's will take it to heart and differentiate the resources that all of us and even BRP can provide...

The Differences Between Complaining and Whining

I will have to admit that as a mental health type, I have developed a short fuse for whining. Not complaining, but whining. Now I don't normally consider Psychology Today as a refereed journal source but found a post by Paul Winch, Ph.D. on October 10, 2012 to be illuminating in helping me...

Shopping for an RS or F3?

The RS is a great sporty trike and I had to decide the same thing between a 2015 RS-S or a F3-S SM6 that was a factory demonstrator. Due to my aging and desire to have longer maintenance intervals and a torquier engine, I went with the F3-S and have been absolutely loving it! It is my new "sport...

    WackyDan Finally retired the 08 GS for a 2017 F3-S SM6 Blue

BEEEEUUUUTIFUL color! The 1330 is definitely an improvement on an already great engine (service intervals/fuel consumption, torque, etc.). Let the farkling begin! BTW, if you are thinking about putting a windshield on it, the F4 Customs is highly recommended. I am also testing out my...

I like My New F3T but She Needs Some Improvments!

IdleUp, What I can't figure out is why you are so publicly deriding the F3 for it's inherently terrible transmission and howling engine/drive train and not just quietly selling it before you help to kill your own investment's value? None of us on this forum is going to be able to change your...

I like My New F3T but She Needs Some Improvments!

Mike, I am not pissed at you and don't know you. Just wondering why you are whining louder than your supposed 1330 and not just moving on to another machine? I can't address the shift issues because I have an F3-S SM6 which shifts wonderfully with no apparent "clunks" from driveline lash. I have...

F4 Customs 28" Windshield on My F3-S is the Bomb

Just ordered a pair of F3-S Baker Wings Just called Don and took advantage of the free shipping and 10% discount until the end of the month on the clear Baker wind wings. Here in Florida, it can get awful muggy and the F4 windshield for the F3/F3-S cannot have a vent installed in it by Don. So...

    2up rear shock install Questions

Tazzel, It sounds like you tried to work with your dealer to a certain extent. I had a similar experience on another trike where I wanted an aftermarket part installed. An acquaintance got the same part and a Harley dealer charged him 3 hours labor to install. I called the manufacturer and he...
