• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

What portable air compressor do you use?

The Stop and Go mini compressor is on amazon for $37.93. I've had this for 2 years. I've never had a flat but I've tested this to see if it would over heat and fail which is the most likely thing to happen to these small comps and it has easily run long enuf to fill the rear tire up to about 25...

Akrapovic vs RLS vs Stock Exhaust

I think if I could I would like to take back the word 'hate"it has triggered some hard feelings here.I dont hate any piece of metal but Ive gotten jaded over the years to the sound of loud exhaust.I actually had a Muffler shop for many years and have built many very loud systems for cars,trucks...

Brand new Spyder RT rider needs an answer!

There is not just one answer,I think it depends who youre talking to.For random people like when checking in at a hotel i might say can I put my "bike"under the canopy. If Im talking with bikers I might say,yea Im riding that blue Spyder over there.I feel that a Spyder is driven more than its...

Akrapovic vs RLS vs Stock Exhaust

I love your enthusiasm that you put into all your videos and you are entitled to your opinion but I hate all 3 of your systems. The RLS is by far the loudest and most irritating to me.The other 2 are only loud and annoying bc you have that cat delete pipe on there.Im sorry but theres something...

    The Spouse...[Seeking Riding Experience Info]

My wife has ridden on the back of all of my street bikes and dirt bikes as well. She says the RT is the most comfortable of all of them,GW included. She is held in nicely by the BRP armrests and falls asleep sometimes like she has on most every bike Ive had.She says there's something about the...

    Something new from Harley

I love off roading and did plenty of true dirt biking up until like 15 years ago. These adventure bikes are not even close to a true dirt bike, they are geared more towards the type of person who would like to ride a couple hundred miles and then cruise around some fire trails in a state...

    Exhaust....

I used to have a muffler shop and guys would come in with VWs and Honda’s and always wanted them to sound like a 5.0 Mustang (not happening)or guys with Jap bikes would come in wanting them to sound like a Harley (also not happening). We would try many different sizes and styles of mufflers and...

Running an SAE connector ... can I put a fuse block here?

I did it a little different.I ran a heavy wire from the positive terminal of the alternator over to where the original horn was and then wired in a double relay setup that I made. One relay is triggered by the horn wire and that controls the wolo horn the other relay is triggered by a wire that...

    Do it yourself Alignment?

What Ive stated is basically correct, while Ive never done a laser alignment on a Spyder, I and my techs have done many cars and large trucks with toe sticks and strings in the old days, and lasers later on.While its very important to have a qualified tech, you will get very accurate and...

    Do it yourself Alignment?

While it is possible to get in the basic ballpark with a tape measure type diy alignment ,you could never get close enuf to make the bike handle the way it will with a good laser alignment ,although you could get lucky and be pretty close.

Review: Best GPS (in my opinion) for a motorcycle

I use the original zumo 590 that came with my 17rtl which I put gpx files on from various sources other than trying to use basecamp.I also use Waze on my phone at the same time so I can listen to music get traffic and police alerts.I really like the way the zumo can easily find gas stations and...

2021 RT battery dying - What's the warranty on the battery?

Take the coverings off and go to any decent local garage that has a Capacitance style battery checker, they usually have a printer built in and get yourself a printout of your battery condition and if bad take that to dealer and complain. If not bad look for problems elsewhere.IMO a good battery...

    1330cc 2015 Rts Hard cranking

Id like to add my 2 cents,as a retired shop owner and tech.First of all, there is a much better way of checking battery condition than just using a voltmeter. What you need is a battery capacitance style checker. This is a unit that checks condition using a fairly sophisticated method and is highly...
