• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

All the 2016 Spyder Lineup info posted here!

The shifter knob can be adjusted eight different ways. I can't use mine in "position 5" reliably unless I move the knob to the rear and down. It works great there. You have to remove the 5mm hex on the shifter to get the knob out. It is a press fit and very tight so I put a small wedge in the...

Brp trailer grounding harness service bulletin

The part number you listed requires a ground harness kit, part number 219400537. There is a flowchart that the tech uses to match trailers to roadsters. The instructions for the trailer conversion are very detailed and exhaustive. FWIW, this is written in the instructions (ROADSTER KIT -...

Cat Bypass Installed (with Photos & Sound Clips)

I shouldn't reply to this because it is obvious that your mind is made up and no amount of facts will convince you otherwise. But: Emissions testing is not the same thing as tampering with emissions equipment. There is no emissions testing where i live. It is still illegal to tamper with...

    Have you noticed...

I've seen my splash guards channel a ton of water when I go through standing water. It is really impressive! (I ride in the rain even if it is really bad, though. YMMV.)

    Warming Up

I wait for the RPMs to drop below 1,000 before taking off. Then I ride it easy for the first mile or two until I get four bars on the temp gauge.

Cat Bypass Installed (with Photos & Sound Clips)

I'm posting this understanding that boiling fuel isn't a real nice thing to have. FWIW: Motor Vehicle: A motor vehicle is a self-propelled road vehicle, commonly wheeled, that does not operate on rails, such as trains or trams. The vehicle propulsion is provided by an engine or motor, usually...

    2015 or wait until 2016?

If you ever plan to ride at night I'd consider the aux lights a safety item worth having. The stock lights alone at night are pretty weak. The aux lights also help increase visibility during the day.

Interesting performance comparo between F3 and Indian

No, I was pretty tired from fighting the wind all day plus I knew that my speed run was "cheating". I bet it would have struggled to break 100 the other way!

Interesting performance comparo between F3 and Indian

Today there was a very strong wind out. The kind that wears you out riding into it. I decided to do a speed run with the wind pushing me. Since my last effort I've returned the tires to "normal" pressure and I've installed a gauge spoiler. I hit 124 MPH @ 7250 RPM. It's cheating but it's still...

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

That blue Spyder is nice looking. I went ahead and ordered the fenders. Hopefully they look awesome!

    1330 Spark plugs

Okay, maybe "scam" is the wrong word. (?) I'm sure the manual is useful. Now that I have seen the dealer version (which is kept up to date) I can see that. (My paper version is useful but it is hard to search for stuff and it is not kept up to date.) However, since BRP does not sell or...

I did. What I posted above is my theory that the guy selling them is running a scam.

    1330 Spark plugs

The PDF service manuals are on BOSSWeb (It took me a while to find them.) I wonder if this guy is just selling copies of those? The fact that he lists them as including the "flat rate" section, which did not come with my paper copy, leads me to believe they are copies. (The BOSSWeb versions...

    Magnesium-colored fenders?

The build tool on the Can-Am web site allows you to add optional magnesium-colored fenders to the magnesium-colored F3-S, but it doesn't update the build picture to show what they look like. I can't find any pictures on Google, either. Does anyone have this mod? I think the lighter-colored...

    1330 Spark plugs

That's odd that they have different instructions. Even the torque is different. How did you get a service manual as a PDF? That would be real convenient!

    F3 reliability and related

What dealer is going to take a part off of a bike that could be sold to fix one that has already been sold? Maybe a small part, but a water pump? How does he bill BRP for the removal and (eventual) replacement labor? Who wants to buy a bike that has had parts cannibalized off of it? The dealer...

Spyder F3 Power Outlet Advertised but not there.....

The accessory lead under the left panel is much smaller in diameter than that leads used with the OEM heated grips. I guess it depends on how many watts your elements need. There is a pair of heated grip outlets under the right covers but they require a switch up by the ignition. Attached is a...

    F3 reliability and related

Most dealers only stock very common items. They don't have the ability to keep hundreds of thousands of dollars of parts in inventory, or the space. The issue is not having parts at the dealer. That is not realistic. The problem is getting parts from BRP to the dealer. Other OEMs have a very...
