• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Locating Beacon? Funny stuff. I think it may be that blue arrow on google maps or your GPS that is the locate me now symbol. They are just letting the neighbors know where they are just Incase you forget from week to week like a locating beacon. its no different than blipping the throttle when...

completely dumb and irrelevant question but curious.

Good info. Strange that a Heat issue would arise and be that sensitive with such an open element as that grille in almost direct line of airflow. Is what it is and I'd order one up personally.

    2018 Can Am Spyder review

Like a hard cover magazine vs a dig copy, I need to know where my keys are and so I can loose them my own.:roflblack: My dad's Ducati has keyless thing and he still reaches for his key or forgets why it won't start or how to start it. It's like me still grabbing for the front brake or shift...

    Let's talk Sunglasses

I've always worn sun glasses since I was little basically growing up a river rat. As I got my own income I buy the best I can afford. Years ago I got a small piece of sand and metal from an abrasive disc wearing googles AND a shield of all things. I had to have it flushed, cleaned and wear a...

    Help setting up new RSS

Your on the right track. I'm just a bit ahead of you. RT bars were a massive improvement for my back. Other than my IGN switch debacle it was fairly cheap. I got a Ultimate ST seat for 50% off and another massive improvement. I only have two 100 mile rides but both made it totally different. I...

I'm lucky to be alive to tell this story.......

Awesome learning story and glad all turned out well. I too am a constant mirror checker. I am at the fine line of too defensive but smarter for it cause of all those not paying attention to the task at hand. I had a massive pinecone in my way on yesterday's Ryde in a blind banked corner. I quick...

Advice and suggestions for curves and Twisties?

Visual Learner? A ton of great suggestions above. For me, i take those, relax, slow down and just ryde. Nothing better than seat time. I am a visual learner and while the below is not meant to be a training video, you may pick up some things that work or don't work for you. You can occasionally...

    cmbspyderrss Mods & Farkles

More seat time Beautiful quite day for a ryde. Like all things it takes a while to get back into the "Feel" of the Spyder. Such a fun way to ride. Somehow turned of my stabilization on my NoPro so you may get a little sea sick. Still tweaking my Audio/Video settings. Part 1 Part 2 with...

Thats it..... !! That's all the 'upgrades' bring!?

Totally Lame Being new to Spyders and reading all the Hype from experienced owners I got a good laugh. I don't or will never own an RT so if the gauge cluster floats your boat and a few colors then by all means power to you. Definitely didn't make me say oh damn screw my RSS I'm getting one of...

    Strange notice from UPS

Very interesting and wonder what it is. Your situation happens to me when I order something from China that takes 9yrs on average to get though it is cheap. After 24hrs I usually forget so I get presents all year long.

What is an entry level Spyder?

It can be done I am sure many people thought they would never see a sub $10k BMW entry level bike either. The BMW G310R proves it can be done IF you want to.

What is an entry level Spyder?

My $.02 I could write for days but this is my initial thoughts What first has to be considered is that a Spyder is as we know a “niche” riding vehicle for a “niche” market, Earning bracket etc. Due to how it is configured (Trike/3 wheeler, Snowmobile on wheels etc) the dollar figure for an...

Why Did You Buy A Spyder?

Why I bought my Spyder Short Story It was actually my Dad's fault. My dad wanted to ride again after a long break from 2 wheels. I helped him look for his bike and got the bug to do ride again during that. I didn't want to finance so i had a $10k budget including any future mods. I needed...

    Anyone up for this?

Awesome stuff. I would open the door and say Nah! I'm glad other people can do this stuff. Plus, i don't like heights so couldn't even do the 1st part. I will say though that i used balancing balls and platforms after my back injury. I still use Balancing balls for a chair at work and to...

    Shoe polish on ST finish

Not sure where he/she is from but in CO i did that during winter to keep my wiper from freezing to my windshield. At least that's what they told the CA boy to do his 1st winter. Maybe one of those pranks to spot the noob but it worked so i used it.
