• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Ryker limp mode info.

:agree: That's a reasonable speed to get back to civilization. I had a BMW M5 that went into limp mode due to a CAN-bus error... it went limp at 5000 RPM and/or 85 MPH. That was annoying, to be sure, but still a healthy trot back to the service center. ;) -- QM

    Ryker limp mode info.

You took the words right out of my mouth... was just about to post the same thing. 55 MPH is sufficient to get back to civilization or down the road a bit without being too much of a "rolling roadblock" to traffic. -- QM

    Ryker Windshield Bulletin

:agree: +1 My windshield is still in the box, so I'm glad I read this before finding out the hard way. ;) -- QM

Good afternoon, jcthorne! I believe that you and I spoke on the phone about a week ago regarding my alignment issues. Here is a photo of my emissions sticker for reference... -- QM

    Ryker Issue Alert!

More good news on the BRP Ryker front lines... I just received an email, and then a phone call from Olivier Dickson, a customer service representative from BRP! We talked about my issues and expectations, and he is setting up a conference call for tomorrow afternoon with their lead product...

    Ryker Accessories

  I'll throw some money in your direction. ;) I'm a huge fan of MadStad and Givi windscreen designs (have them on all of my bikes), so I'll be very interested in your design to see how to improve upon the OEM unit. I don't have any real complaints about the OEM unit, but more...

    Ryker Accessories

PM me and we can meet up in the Houston or Katy area. I have the windshield, top case (tail bag), tank bag and other accessories already on mine if you want to take a look. The tail bag is kind of a bust for me because it's just a tad too small for my purposes. The opening is too small for...

    Ryker Issue Alert!

Updated Operator's Manual on BRP's site! Well, finally some truly positive news in all of this drama... BRP has updated the Ryker Operator's Manual in their download site: http://www.operatorsguides.brp.com/Index.aspx?lang=E&s1=8879abc3-258c-4bb1-a36d-0294a504c709 I haven't reviewed all of...

Be careful removing those color panels.

Yes, that's apparently the case. I just picked my Ryker up from the dealer yesterday and it wouldn't drive... thought I had a faulty parking brake switch. I'll upload the video of my DOOFUS moment to YouTube shortly. Try this trick... The shop places the Ryker into a "false-neutral" by...

    LED Headlights

Another dumb question... what gauge cluster are we seeing in that product advertisement? It certainly isn't the Ryker's dash. -- QM

    Ryker Issue Alert!

Yep, so I've heard. That posture is to be expected of any large corporation because of the intricacies and liabilities of any communication with the consumer after their intention to litigate has been made. I have tried to keep this as level and open as possible without even discussing the...

    Ryker Issue Alert!

BTW... I just digested the info in your second link (lindsayroland.com). That's great stuff, thanks for the link. I am reaching out to several of the "Texas dealers" and independents on the SpyderComfort (True Laser Track) site. I haven't found any hits so far, as the information seems to be...

    Ryker Issue Alert!

I'd settle for straight and true... not perfect, but straight. BRP specs would be a good starting point at the very simplest. I hope not to offend anyone by asking/insisting, but watch my YouTube video about my ride back to the dealer. The effect is patently obvious... it's not safe to ride...

Any dealers selling Rykers less than MSRP w/ no setup or freight fees?

Another obvious point that I'll make, and then shut up is this... regarding the "service and warranty requirements" bit above. [My nerves are a little raw on the subject right now because of recent issues purchasing my Ryker] Those dealers aren't working for free, so I take exception to that...

Any dealers selling Rykers less than MSRP w/ no setup or freight fees?

:agree: Agreed. Everyone needs to turn a profit to stay in business. I generally don't mind paying full price (including the setup/prep fees), as long as the dealer is REALLY doing their job in those respects. Dealer selection and trust is the real issue... not the lowest dollar deal to be...

    Ryker Issue Alert!

Agreed. I don't mind paying the money or taking it elsewhere, and that's probably going to be the outcome here. I'm just waiting for the dealer to untie my new pony from the hitching post, so I can ride off into the sunset. I need to search for another dealer that DOES have the alignment...

Tools needed for Ryker wheel change

The BRP unit is linked above. Just throw that part number into your favorite search engine or parts outlet (e.g. PartZilla) to see who has the best price. At ~$140-160, "reasonable" is a relative term for sure. I'll be purchasing that one for my toolbox because I know that it will fit our...
