• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    BumbleBee & G-Man are here!!!!!

Of course he is - but make him share his Sypder cookies that I baked you all. Miss seeing you - have fun and be safe. Don't let Gene bar-b-que any Spyders in the parking lot. Jane

    Almost hit a person today.

We have one of the "unbalanced", too, who resides on one of our favorite "twisty roads" to ride. It's a two lane, densely forested on both sides of asphalt, road. He lives quite far back in the woods and evidently has a couple of children because when he hears what sounds like any bikes...

    Almost ready for Tennessee

Now that's a good idea - no need to check into the Red Roof...you've got a place to sleep right on the parking lot!

    How to buy an RT

He truly was a kid in a candy store...check out that Mall picture with his hand on the candy jar! :roflblack: Lookin' good Gene - you clean up real nice....but you should have remembered that you get the "feelin' sorry for you price" if you wear the tattered jeans :D. I know you're gonna love...

    Pushing the Spyder

You are so good to your toys, Scotty. I turn my plants on the front porch every day so that they grow straight, tall and pretty....but had never thought about doing the same for my Spyder. I just leave it facing the same direction until I back it out of the garage. Now I feel badly knowing...

    NOT A REAL PEOPLE PERSON

Sorry Namknight that your petition seems doomed to fail...but thanks for introducing a topic that was fun to read and brought out the humor and creative talents of many. NYCE WORK!

    Sorry Scotty

:agree: plus I have this vision of 500 people in the parking lot at the Red Roof Inn being led by Scotty in "the dance"!:roflblack:

Cowtown, MO gang ryde This Saturday! August 7th

Hi all. Home today after "Saturday" ride. Had a good time - was nice to see Len, Vanessa, Colton and the rest of their family, plus Joe and his wife (hope you feel better today, Lisa) again. Thanks to Len's mom for doing most of the work for the barbque. Gene stepped up and and was a great...

Cowtown, MO gang ryde This Saturday! August 7th

Don't you believe it Forrest - Gene's just jealous of that hat. It makes you look jaunty and lends an air of mystery. We will miss you as that means one less person to take a turn trying to keep Gene in line :doorag:. That MO group sure knows how to make someone feel welcome, though, don't they?

Cowtown, MO gang ryde This Saturday! August 7th

I'm looking forward to Saturday, too. Cowtown guys are going to do a service on my bike so it'll be in top form by the time we take off! Glad that Scouter Joe will be along....never know what might be lurking in those waters! Since I have to get up in the early morning hours to get in to Cuba...

    Who are my neighbors

No worries. You know what they say....you don't have to be fast enough to outrun the bear, just fast enough to outrun the person with you. (I'm pretty sure I can out run Gene.) Sorry, Gene, didn't mean to hijack your thread - happy to be your neighbor even if I couldn't outrun you.

    Spyder Ryde to Commemorate 9/11

:agree:It would be a great opportunity to make it into a charitable ride. As one who campaigns all the time it seems for our little home town food pantry (raised over $200,000 in the last year) I can say that sometimes it's not so much the time as the imagination involved. If someone over that...

    Hanging up the helmet

Uh-oh....we ALREADY bought a mini-cooper - John Cooper Works but I hope to keep both toys for a while. My husband smiles every time he takes out the Cooper - like driving a go cart on steroids. I think we enjoy it more than our Mercedes convertible as it has more personality. Hope you enjoy...

    Trip Planner

I agree Scotty. I love GPS roulette. Even on rather local roads (100-150 mile ride) it works great. Since my husband hasn't been able ride much because of back issues this summer, in order to get my riding fix I start out from home and with GPS set to no gravel. I go 40 or 50 miles of...

Ditto for me- same purchase date, scheduled next week for 6000 mile service and no problems (except mine is the fast color - yellow) :2thumbs:.

    Help with this board

Thanks! Thanks Lamonster. This will help a lot. I'm sure my husband will thank you, too, as he's my go-to-guy on all things computer related; this takes some of the mystery out of the process and will allow me to work my way through some of these options myself.

    It is hot here . . . . .

Don't want to hijack this thread but just wanted to mention my temp displays read high when I first got the bike. Then I read something on this site about just taking the bit of foamy material that wraps around the sensor off.....now my readout is just about right on (that was more than a year...
