• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    cold weather riding

Did a 250 mile ride today - foggy, damp and 40 went I left but high 40's on return and was lovin' my heated gear which made the ride truly enjoyable. On low setting today so high will take me into the teens as long as roads are free of ice and snow.

    Spyderfest 2011 Info and check-in

Confess, Brian, you just didn't want to to be grouped in with the Wagon Wheel wHOOLIGANS - or the Triple W's as they'll be referred to as stories of Spyderfest 2011 are recounted years from now.:hun:

    Spyderfest 2011 Info and check-in

Don't forget though that April/May can be a bit tricky to predict weather-wise. Could be a bit cooler especially evenings and could be subject to rain so be sure to pack wisely so you can just enjoy the fun and the rides and not be uncomfortable no matter what the temps/precip. (P.S. Play...

I'm sure you won't be disappointed - plus the smell of the free freshly popped corn every afternoon/evening is wonderful. Don't know why but I always crave popcorn when we're on the road :2thumbs:. Glad to know you and BJT are gonna make it. Look forward to being "neighbors" for the event but...

ZUMA 550 versus TOM TOM RIDER 2nd gen

My husband and I have run a Garmin 276, 376 and now have a Zumo 665. I love the 376 which supports Doppler radar and Xm radio but it's no longer in production. After seeing the 665, which also has these features, I like it a lot, too. Way different view than the 376 but better in some ways...

    Hydroplaning - High Siding

Early on (couple of years ago) there were quite a few posts about hydroplaning, or at least speculation about it, due to the wide flat rear wheel. Last year as I was riding over to Cowtown to meet up with the Route 66 guys, it was raining and the forecast called for more through-out our...

    whos attending Spyderfest 2011

Might want to go ahead and google rooms in Cuba - you'll get the list and can make some decisions as rooms are filling up fast. Cuba is a small town but has several motels but according to other responses those rooms are filling fast. Since there is no one centrally selected motel for...

    Lamont BRP interview

Just got an e-mail with the BRP write-up about Spyders in the Smokies. Good interview, Lamont. I thought it was nice of BRP to specifically mention your barbecue, too, as it was the the draw for many of the attendees.

for what reason one of you should visit europe ?

Nah...I'm just the little old lady who rides on Sunday afternoons. I'll just get my errands done a little faster than on some of my other rides. Still gonna give the Spyder road time, too. Took it out today - it's been sitting for a couple of weeks while I exercised some of the other bikes and...

for what reason one of you should visit europe ?

Sounds like a great time...not sure if I could convince my husband who hates to fly. But since we just ordered me the new Ducati Diavel bike today maybe I could convince him we need to go to Italy to see it since it won't ship until next Spring sometime. (Don't you attend the Ducati event...

    When to take your vacation

Gary - It's my understanding no hotel will be primary this year due to the increase in numbers (no one hotel will accommodate events). I think all the group events are scheduled at places other than hotels. I made reservations at Super 8 today since I've stayed there 3 or 4 times throughout...
