• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Warming up Spyder for oil level check

Intresting you should say this. There WAS a problem with the transmission drain plug. The 6mm Allen head wrench would not go in at all. From all we could try, it would not go in far enough to allow turning the plug out. :yikes: After much sole searching about what to do......we found that a 40...

Can't run Spyder in garage (part of house).:lecturef_smilie: Pouring down rain outside, and "cool" - :yikes: Real experience if any...

Surprisingly clear results from 4120 dashcam!

Thanks for reply realtor. I don't have it mounted on the spyder yet, but hope to by the weekend - with just the "sucking cup" for the first test. Will reply again when I have something. Spending thanksgiving changing engine oil and filter + HCM filter in our 2014 RTL. First DIY oil change for...

Surprisingly clear results from 4120 dashcam!

Just tested in the car (truck) the "4k Ultra HD Dash Cam" I bought at CostCo for $119 ! This is my first dashcam, and I have wanted one on the Spyder for a long time, but didn't like the prices I was seeing. :yikes: Took a ride to a few stores yesterday and just turned it on and let it run for...

Looking for feedback/input for R/C airplanes

Mike, in 2005 when we moved to our current home on 5 acres, in the farm pasture (50-100 acres, depending on your skill :roflblack:) behind us was an RC airplane club (small 6-8 Seniors and friends) every weekend. Little planes to big planes, experts and newbees like me. I joined as quickly as...

Difficulty with fixed push pins on bottom of top side panel of 2014 RTL - any ideas?

Thanks to all who tried, and have helped, with my "Pin" issue. There does however seem to be a misconception about the pins, at least on this (my 2014) body panel. The rearward pin is OK, straight, and tight on the panel, thanks to the Torx security screw assy from the outside, which I have...

Difficulty with fixed push pins on bottom of top side panel of 2014 RTL - any ideas?

OK, spent an hour carefully turning, removing, looking, and checking, and finally it is working !! I slowly rotated the entire pin and checked for insertion. It finally went in as needed when I rotated the 45 degree bent pin to be in line with the bottom edge of the panel. I took the panel off...

Difficulty with fixed push pins on bottom of top side panel of 2014 RTL - any ideas?

I'll try turning the "bent pin part down to 180 degrees and hopefuly it works and that is what you meant.

Difficulty with fixed push pins on bottom of top side panel of 2014 RTL - any ideas?

I have been told that my problem of not being able to get one of these 2 pins (chrome false push pins) on the bottom of this panel to go into the grommet is not new. The one I can't get to go in is not straight like other pins on the spyder panels, but the shaft part on this one is bent to about...

    Spyder RTL gas mileage history

Just wondering if anyone else has tracked their mileage as I have and what the results were. Ours is a 2014 RTL with 56,000 plus miles on it now. I have always documented mileage numbers, but this time I have calculated costs per mile based on "fluxuating" gas prices also. My data numbers after...

Fuel (GAS) price where you live

Around Olympia, WA we are now seeing $4.59 to $4,84 (mom and pop store in small town) to $5.50 (Cheveron) all for regular gallon. And it keeps going up almost daily at various stations. Kinda like a game to see which one can reach $6.00 or higher first ! And NO (zero) officials are even...

Suppliers for cheaper OEM Air compressor for 2014 RT?

I converted to using the shrader valve fill process on our 2014 RTL after my 2nd system failure in 2 years, a long time ago, and have never looked back. As I recall, just unplugging the powr to the compressor was all that was required to take the pump out of the system. We always...

Will Using 87 Octane impact performance?

I agree with BK and most others. :2thumbs: 50000 miles+ total now on our 2014 RTL, running on nothing but regular since probably 15000 miles (when I didn't know better) :banghead:. Country roads, hills and valleys, mountain peak runs, ocean salt air, No issues at all, except for more money in...
