• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Is there enough power in the 998cc

I can only agree with most here, the 998 has adequate power and it sounds like a proper bike not a sewing machine.

    Shingles

Oh Bob, I have had second hand experience with no real knowledge but my Aunt, the toughest woman ever to be born, had the condition and she "toughed it out", something I do not recommend for mortals.

Officially BRP has nothing to do with the app. However, it does appear that my apology was accepted.

Valcourt Guide App for Apple & Android Available

The basic outline of the Valcourt GuideApp for the Homecoming event is set. It is available at the App store for iOS (apple) and at the Play Store for Android. As details become available for the actual events the my itinerary section will be expanded accordingly. You can share your itinerary...

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

I truly appreciate the understanding about the ****storm that I brought on myself. I think I have apologized to everyone that I offended and it seems that while probably not forgotten it is approaching forgiven. Here's what is and has been happening. SpyderCodes (android) has recently had a...

spyderCodes for the PC & Mac

This is an experiment. There is a rudimentary spyderCodes now available for Windows and Macs. I really don't see this as being very useful but here it is anyway. Right now the app searches for the error codes and returns the error code info. That's all. YOU MUST HAVE JAVA INSTALLED for it to...

    SpyderCodes update

Android users have an automatic update to spyderCodes. The basic enhancement is a keypad option to enter the error codes. This was requested and I think the new version answers that request.

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

I was wrong. I am an emotional person. I consider the Spyder community a famiily. What happened with the GuideApp was a basic screw up. I published the GuideApp on two platforms and notified the BRP guy. The turn around time for all my emails to him previous to this was almost instant. I...

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

I wish it were about money. Believe me it isn't. In fact I am not contractually allowed to be in the software business. What it is about is the lack of respect for those who actually feel they want to contribute to the Spyder effort. Something I won't be accused of any time soon.

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

Here's what I have to say now. A highly placed executive from BRP asked me to create a Guide App for the upcoming event. He even contributed to the app's content. I then found that there was another app that BRP had commissioned that essentially did what mine did and BRP had paid for it. Mine...

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

well, I will present proof in the form of emails. Right now, thank You for your support and if the past is any judge of the present please know that we have been deceived by a company that I once felt was honorable. Now,I don't. The circumstances will become apparent.

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

I feel completely sick about this. So what I have learned is this. BRP and their executives are not honest. The upcoming Homecoming is simply a corporate ploy. I have been snared by the dishonesty but you need not be. Simply say no to corporate manipulation. Normally I would be completely...

I was excited about the 10 year Homecoming

I was wrong. See post#46 This was a misunderstanding on my part. You might have wondered why I was excited about the BRP homecoming It was because I thought the folks running it were honest and above board. When I was contacted by a high ranking BRP executive and asked to continue with my...

Why does it take so long for a shop to do a basic clutch job.

Pewter is an alloy so I don't think it is a real classification. I truly do wish BRP could find a way to address this very real problem. The Spyder is a superb vehicle that needs to be assembled right, checked right and fixed right. As owners we have the right to expect superior performance on...
