• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Electric vehicles and the Grid

I was talking more about various industry groups and lobbyists than individuals. Full disclosure: I drive a Tesla (and ICE vehicles), and believe in the future of EV's. However, I recognize the "current" limitations, and support the continued development of the necessary infrastructure to make...

    Electric vehicles and the Grid

There's a lot of misinformation out there regarding EV's and hybrids, i.e. true range, battery life, charging availability, etc. Consider the source of the information because many espouse only what supports their agenda.

Will SpyderExtras Adjustable Brake Rod Kit change pedal angle?

Be sure that your lower brake pedal position plays well with any floorboards you may have, or plan to install. I purchased and installed the Lamonster rod but it didn't work well with the Spyder F3 Aluminum Floorboards, F3/Spyder Logo I bought from Value Accessories. I had to go back to the oem...

Are Tufskinz Peel & Stick Protectors as good as claimed?

I have the domed carbon tank protector, gas cap cover, and console accent on my '21 F3S. They're doing their job of protecting the surfaces, and I think they look pretty good.

What’s in your Emergency Roadside trip bag?

I keep most of the items mentioned above on my spyder on a daily basis. Side story: On a recent short ride (about 20-25 miles from home), the nut on my front brake linkage went awol and I found myself with no brakes.:yikes: Fortunately I was able to run a red light through a busy intersection...

Anyone put a Wrap on matte black? Successful or not?

I put a full frunk wrap on my matt black F3S with no problem. Just follow the directions from Wrap My Spyder. I don't plan to remove it, so I don't know what that might do to the matt surface below. Maybe someone else has done so.

Interesting news out of BRP on electrification.

I for one think EV's will be a "significant part" of our motoring future. It may or may not be the predominate mode in most of our lifetimes, but I believe it's here to stay. I would love to hear from any of our members who have first hand experience with EV's, cars or motorcycles. Personally I...

How would you rate your Spyder Dealer?

That definitely seems a bit excessive to me. My 21 F3 S was only $316. Probably a little less work to service than your RTL, but not that much!

    Going for a ride -

Got a few miles in Wednesday and Thursday, but it rained today. Hopefully it washed away the early pollen. :gaah:

Finally sorted my Brake Rod & Position!

I decided to hang onto the other rods just in case my daughter ends up with the F3 one day, like she did with my RS.

How about some ideas for cup / bottle holders? F3-T 2021

:agree: +1 on the LaMonster frame mount bottle. However, keep track of the straw when you clean it. Mine fell into that black hole in my kitchen, never to be seen again. I've tried several but can't find one to fit.

Anyone seen this Spyder Canopy before?

This isn't my taste either, but if someone feels this helps keep them ridin', more power to them.

Finally sorted my Brake Rod & Position!

I searched but couldn't find my exact situation, so I thought I'd post my experience in hopes that it may help someone else contemplating changing their brake rod. When I first purchased my F3 S, I experienced the uncomfortable high brake pedal like many others, so I decided a LaMonster position...

Reduction in annual plate costs for 3 wheelers in Quebec

That's a great drop in fees! Here in Delaware it's only $15 a year, renewable for one or two years. However, on a brand new bike purchase we can get up to 7yr. tags. It's well worth the cost not to have to visit the DMV.

On my first 2 hour ride today

Wave-a-lot I tend to wave at almost all two and three-wheelers (except during rally weekend) :yikes: I often wave to bikers and trikers when I'm in my truck or car, just to let them know I'm aware of their presence. When I'm in my BMW Z4, I also wave to other sports cars. Come to think of it, I...

Who is a former Goldwing rider?

I've owned my '97 1500 Goldwing since 1998. After riding for about six years, I mounted a 2-seater sidecar to it so that my kids could ride with me. I currently have more than 165k miles on the rig, and now my kids are grown, and mostly gone. Over the years I've grown to appreciate the comfort...

Still Riding? I think I am now done for the season...

Haven't had any measurable snow here in the mid-Atlantic in a couple of years, and I used to pride myself on getting a ride in at least one day in every month. The cold temperatures were manageable on my Goldwing. Now I don't have much interest in braving the cold except for my traditional New...

What did you do to your Spyder today?

Diamond Motorsports in Dover, DE. That's where I bought it, and it's currently the only dealer in the state.
