• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Does Noisy Fuel Pump = Break Down??

Hi, Yep, that is the noise I was referring to. NICE JOB:thumbup: Now to me, it seems like there can be two troubles. One being the noise of the pump when running, and the second when the pump has to pressure the fuel line-before start-up. (That pre-start noise doesn't happen to me all the...

    Jacking point for rear wheel

USE A JACK LIKE THIS Hi, It looks like you have an ST up in the air. I have an RT with a Bump Skid. I don't think I could do that. I would have thought placing the jack where you have it would be lifting from the steering linkage instead of the frame. I lift the RT from the right side near...

Proper Oil Level Verification Procedure on 1330-engined Spyders

It's easy to comprehend. The BRP design engineers get paid by the hour. It's like FORD products. You need a box full of "special tools" to work on their cars. Those design engineers go out and party their brains out and then design a bunch of tools. Then they take those tools and build a car...

    A fuel Question

Hello all, I found a place that sells ethanol free fuel. I always run Hi-Test (91) on my '14 RT and get mileage in the 30's depending on the type of riding. The ethanol free fuel is 87 octane and cost more than diesel. Gonna run a couple of tank fulls of the ethanol and see if it cost...

    Very noisy fuel pump!

Very noisy fuel pump Me too. My machine has been idle for about a month. When I started it up to move it out of the garage, I heard a strange noise coming from under the Tupperware. I determined it was the fuel pump by shutting the machine down for a few minutes, then turn the key and then...

    Shifting in the 2014

I see that some are questioning what type of machine you have. From your Avatar, it looks like an RT. Now, I guess the real question is the type of transmission you have. I also have a '14 ES-6. I tend to keep an eye more on the tech than the speedo. I find the lowest RPM that the machine will...

    Center console switch blank question

Center Console Switch Thanks, As far as the switch type, what I had in mind was to order a switch from the dealer that is identical to the fog light switch. It would show a light symbol, and if everything goes like written in the brochures should fit right in. I'm still not sure where to...

    Center console switch blank question

Hi all, I am toying with the idea of installing additional head lights on my '14 RT. I was thinking of using the switch blank in the center console to locate the switch. The questions: Not knowing what is behind the blank, can the switch be locate there ? And if so, is there a trick to...

    2014 Spyder RT-S SE6 performance, comfort mods

Removing the cat Hi, Just curious, does removing the cat void any warranties? What I noticed with my '14 RT is the classic "rotten egg" smell. Which begs the question, does anyone else getting "egged" on? Thanks, Ron

Does your '14 RT" wander" more than your 10,11, or 12 RT?

Changing Gears From Netual to Anything- (sidebar) Yeah, me too when I tried to shift from reverse to 1st- or neutral to anything. Apparently, the brake now plays a part when changing direction Ron

Help....turn signals blinking fast after adding additional LED's - 2014 RT Limited

Fast Blink Turn Signals I had that same situation with my 2013 RT after I installed LED'S for turn signals in my mirrors. In the beginning it kinda made me nuts. but after a while (nothing broke or went on fire) so I figured what the heck, the fast flash might be better to catch the other...

Swapping the Trailer Hitch From a '13 to a '14 RT

Trailer lights plug Bob, My trailer has the 9 pin setup. I would guess the service dept. would be able to figure that one out. Although the trailer has separate brake, turn, and backup lights, -- the brake, turn, and tail lights are all incorporated in the red lenses. (The trailer...

Swapping the Trailer Hitch From a '13 to a '14 RT

Trailer Hitch Fit Thanks Bob, I looked at page 72. It mentions the trailer, but not the hitch. On page 74 it shows the hitch which 'looks' an awful lot like the previous hitch. The ad goes on to say 2014 and prior. Which one would Presume as opposed to Assume that they are the same. But the...
