• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Very cool! I registered my wife as a guest, so can he just go a register himself as a guest?

Stupid question about the owners event....

I know me and the Mrs. are going down, but I have a good friend that would love to ride down with us. Are 2-wheeler guys welcome at the event?

    Spyder Owners Event 2013

Just registered, so looks like me and the Mrs. will be heading down. First event of any kind that I have been to, should be fun! A lot of the motels were booked, but I did find a nice room at the Clarketon Motel. Looked nice, hope it is! Anyone else going down from West Virginia?

    Current Spyder mods...

I purchased a roll of waterproof LED strip lights, and put a little 3 LED strip behind each fender bracket. Tapped into the license plate light. The front fender lights are nice, but waaay too bright. I am thinking of removing those, and installing a set of white GLo Ryders...

    Current Spyder mods...

Not sure I ever posted this, but these are my current mods. LED fender strips/brake light strips, and front accent lighting. Custom rally strip decals with reflective pinstriping, rear LED accent light on the rear wheel, Spyderpops belt guard. May end up removing the fender strips, and going...

Any other saddlebag options besides the Givi set?

Thanks, I added these to my watch list. I really like the look of the Givi/Can Am bags though. The Corbins are nice, but they are more $$$.

Help - want to change dash light color?

If I'm not mistaken, those aren't bulbs, but LEDs, and should never need changing. If they are surface mount, not sure if you could change them if you wanted to!

Any other saddlebag options besides the Givi set?

I don't really mind the RoadKrome bags, but I have yet to see any with the black handle, which is what I'd need.

Any other saddlebag options besides the Givi set?

As much as I love the way the Givi bags look, they are just too much $$$ for me to spend right now. Are there any other options out there? I did see the Roadkrome bags, but not that impressed.

Has anyone Pasti Dipped anything yet?

Awesome! I'm just wondering if there is any difference with it on metal vs. plastic?

Has anyone Pasti Dipped anything yet?

I saw the thread where they did the Spyder with bedliner. Looked very good! I'm considering the Plasti Dip just to see if I would like the matte black. If not, I can always remove it.

Has anyone Pasti Dipped anything yet?

Been doing a lot of research on using Plasti Dip to coat wheels, emblems, cars, etc. The results look very good, and as long as it lasts at least one season, I wouldn't mind doing it. I was thinking of doing my silver panels and possibly the front wheels, in flat black. I haven't found too...

    Flashing lights

Mine did the same thing recently, and I thought the sensor was bad. I pulled the sensor connector, made sure it was clean, and plugged in back in. Seems to have fixed it.

    RS Handling problem

Also, check your battery terminals. If they are not tight, the DPS will act up. I know from experience!! The DPS pulls the most voltage, and if the terminals are even a little bit loose, it will cut out.

Anybody know if the Fuze wheel lights that WalMart sells would work on the Spyder?

I like these better, but they are a bit more exposed, and not waterproof. But, you could download the Spyder Y logo into them, or the BRP logo.

Anybody know if the Fuze wheel lights that WalMart sells would work on the Spyder?

Thanks for giving them a call, and doing the research on this. Also, besides turning the lights on, the magnet is responsible for timing the lights/measuring the RPM. In all of these POV projects, the rate the LEDs flash is dependent on the RPM of the wheel. I would think that you could mount...

Anybody know if the Fuze wheel lights that WalMart sells would work on the Spyder?

 Awesome! I just did some research, and watched the install video. I think, far as the front wheels go, the magnet would be an issue. That got me to thinking about the rear wheel. It may in fact work back there, but the rim size may be an issue as far as timing the lights. Timing may...

Anybody know if the Fuze wheel lights that WalMart sells would work on the Spyder?

I've also been looking at these for awhile: http://www.ladyada.net/make/spokepov/ With these, you can upload your own images! Still, they are made for bicycles, so I am not sure how they would do on the :spyder2:. I figured the Fuze things are cheap enough to experiment with...and I may buy...

Anybody know if the Fuze wheel lights that WalMart sells would work on the Spyder?

Just saw these at my local store. $20 isn't a bad price, if they could be rigged to fit on the front wheels. Not sure if they would stand the speeds, and I'm sure you'd have to balance out the wheel. Interesting though...
