• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    ACS suspension issues...maybe?

This popped up in my thread about moving up from a GS to an RT, so I thought this forum would be a better place for it. On my 2012 RT-S, the compressor seems to run more than it should, especially riding two up. Thinking I may have a leak, I checked the pressure under the seat this morning...

Going to move this to the RT Shoptalk forum from here on out, as I need to troubleshoot the compressor issue more...

Just moved up to a RT from a GS, some things I noticed...

Yeah, I am loving the RT. One thing I have noticed, is that the air compressor runs a lot more with a passenger on board. I would think it would inflate the suspension to match the weight, and be done.

Just moved up to a RT from a GS, some things I noticed...

I recently purchased a 2012 RTS from a fellow Spyderlover here. Very different ride than my '08 GS. Some things I noticed: -Gearing seems to be different, perhaps taller? I'm having to adjust my shifting times. -Headlights, or lack thereof. Considering all the lights on the front, the low...

    Givi saddlebags refuse to unlatch

I finally got to look into these a bit more. I took apart the latch mech and it seems when you press the button, one side of the latch mech doesn't slide totally out of the way to let that side pop loose. Got it working somewhat better, not perfect though.

    Givi saddlebags refuse to unlatch

I have the Givi bags on my '08 GS, and they are almost impossible to unlatch from the racks. Is there any fix for this? Seems like I took the the latch mech off once before, and cleaned it, but it did not help.

Can Am saddlebags (RS vs GS) Help!!

Far as relocating the turn signals, I used small LED strips instead of the stock stalks. The small strip on top is the turn signal, and the longer strip is tied in with the brake lights to give a bit more visibility when braking.

Anyone know the current rebate details?

My local dealer has two leftover 2013 RSS Spyders for around $14k, and I am wondering if the current promo would drop that down even further. All the promo says is that the rebate amount depends on the model. I assume the $4k is for the RTs.

Test drove a 2013 RT and a 2013 ST, question about the RT handling

My main concerns, and the reason for the test ride, were how much the extra weight would affect power, and handling. Secondary was whether I would be ok with the very relaxed riding position. Having put more than 6,000 miles on my GS since last Spring, I'm pretty familiar with it. I had read...

Test drove a 2013 RT and a 2013 ST, question about the RT handling

If your are talking about the rear suspension, I believe it was set rather soft, but I doubt that would make it wander.

Test drove a 2013 RT and a 2013 ST, question about the RT handling

Sounds like the ball joints is the issue on that particular one then. I guess that leads to another question. That RT, as far as I know, is one they just got in, as around a month ago, it was in the showroom partially assembled. Do the 2013's now come with the new ball joints? I was under...

Test drove a 2013 RT and a 2013 ST, question about the RT handling

The Maggie Valley trip was fantastic, but my wife was not so enthused about the stock seating on my GS. She mentioned we should start looking at getting an RT, perhaps next Spring. So, I went to my local dealer, and they let me take out a 2013 RTS, and a 2013 STS. The brakes on both are...

How's this for Naming our Spyders?

Let's see....my first real bike, my Suzuki Boulevard C50, was called "Minion". Bought the Spyder, and sold the Suzuki, so the Spyder is called "Minion 2.0".

Who was filming the group ride to the Dragon last Fri?

I was part of the group ride to the Dragon last Friday, and I noticed there were a couple people filming the ride from a Ford Excusion that I suppose was leading. They also would film whenever we stopped, and seemed to have very nice cameras. Just wondering if they were filming for BRP, and is...
