• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Test Drove the F3

I had the same issue with the back screws and put a 1/2" square piece of rubber I cut from an old radiator hose under each screw. It really stiffened up the whole assembly.

    smoothspyder backrest

I also heard from a customer with the BRP bags that there is a spacer or something needed to make the bags lock to the frame. I haven't been able to see the bags to see what is going on there and the pics weren't too clear, if anybody has any info on this send me an email please. Very happy you...

    rear fender ideas

I have this one on my GS and one just like it coming for my F-3. The F-3 really soaks your backside on wet roads with no fender. I plan on a luggage rack to fix that.

    Really cheap fog lights

Nothing fancy, but I stuck a couple of $3 spot mirrors on the fog light plates to dress it up a little.

Smooth Spyder F3 Backrest - road test

Thank you. The license plate bracket wasn't anything special, just a piece of aluminum plate cut to fit the plate with a tab for three 1/4" bolts and bolted to the underside of the plastic undertail. It will hit the tire though if you don't have it bent out some.

Smooth Spyder F3 Backrest - road test

I would think it is plenty strong for that. I recently went to the races and tilted the seat flat in the passenger position and sat on there for a while.

    F3 shock R&R

I just put the FOX shock on mine. You need to remove the rear splash panel to get to the top bolt, there are 2 more torx screws under the rear seat to remove the panel.

    SmoothSpyder Backrest !!!

There is a black oxide coated hardened washer on the inside of the grab bars. Use that washer and the original shorter bolt if you don't want to put the grab bars back on. You could also use an 8 x 30 MM torx bolt which is more oval and may look better than the hex bolt. I you want to use the...

Almost got killed by a croc today

My Crocs slipped on the wet sidewalk going to check my mail, dislocated my right shoulder. I never knew I could hit the ground so fast. The soles wear away in no time, then I use a table saw to cross hatch some new cuts in the bottom and when their gone it's time for the trash. Comfortable but...

    Heat Issues??

My highway pegs were almost in front of the vent on my ST and I could barely keep my foot there, at highway speeds the heat just poured out of there. My GS has the same pegs and no heat issues on the right foot. After wondering what the difference could be I removed both right panels and...

Gates Krikit II Belt Tension Gauges

Due to the new swing arm design and angle of the axis of travel, the F-3's have been lowered to 775N +or- 150N (625N-925N).

    smoothspyder backrest

The tensioner is being refined and still in the works. The one on mine has reduced the vibration by about 50%. I can drive through the 68-72 MPH range under power without hardly any vibration, but as soon as you back off to a steady speed and not under a load there is still some residual...

Two Bros F3 exhaust is almost here!

I powder coated this aluminum 2 Bros., it held up great without the heat from the Cat. Supposedly good up to 400 degrees.I would go with ceramic if the Cat was still there.

Two Bros F3 exhaust is almost here!

On my ST-S with the Cat gone, I powder coated one of my aluminum 2Bros. with textured black to match the rest of the Carbon black trim. It held up well even though it wasn't ceramic coated, which was also available. I would have thought with the cat removed from the F-3 the heat would have a...

It looks like you get the Cat-bypass with this setup, it's going to be loud I think.
