• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    smoothspyder backrest

I'll try to answer all of the questions. Thanks for your help Zuni. I think the backrest is plenty strong. The brackets and arms are constructed of 3/16" cold rolled steel. It has nylatron washers between the moving parts that bite into the textured powdercoat and hold well. It should fit...

    smoothspyder backrest

I'm anxious and still waiting "patiently" on my fabricator to produce the first batch, hopefully this month. Working on the tensioners also.

Adjusted Drive Belt now Brake Chatter

Most belts seem to ride up against the flange right from the factory despite BRP's spec's of 1-5mm, which is anywhere from just off the flange to near the outside edge of the rear sprocket. Chances are the tire and rim have been adjusted clockwise slightly to get the gap to open, meaning the...

    smoothspyder backrest

The first prototype F-3 Dual-Mode Backrest is headed to Daytona. The pad has 2.75" of vertical adjustment and the backrest will adjust from a relaxed passenger position to the drivers position, or anywhere in between utilizing the quick release ratcheting handles. They should be available...

    F3 Left Panel USB

That looks nice and clean, you won't have to worry about the cover blowing away either if it is not properly attached. That side on the dealers demo flew off in the parking lot and went skidding upside down on the pavement as he was bringing it around for my test ride, glad it happened before...

The F-3 backrest is coming, in time for Daytona I'm hoping.

Ecm- replaced by BRP / vibration 63-73 mph

Well, I have reduced mine to about half or maybe more from what it was. My wife didn't notice it anymore, but I still do. I can still feel it at 68-71MPH, but much reduced, I can drive through it now sometimes where before I couldn't. It will have to make a more substantial and noticeable...

Vibration at 67-75 MPH on F3-S

I fitted a tensioner to mine today, it fit well and was an easy install. Unfortunately and surprisingly it didn't do much at all for the vibration that was present between 68-71MPH while accelerating. Where 10-14 Lbs. has done wonders for most of the other models, even 20 Lbs didn't make a...

    Well this isn't cheap!!!

I have ridden one for a few miles, but not enough to give any kind of meaningful assessment as to the handling vs. the spyder. The torque and pull reminds me of the F3 now that I have ridden those. There is no doubt you're sitting on a substantial piece of machinery.

Vibration at 67-75 MPH on F3-S

Due to the diminished storage, I have a rack planned also. They will both attach to a main mounting bracket. Installing either the backrest or rack will require the same mounting bracket, you will be able to add or remove either piece with minimal labor. The backrest will be first, after that...

Vibration at 67-75 MPH on F3-S

I have a tensioner in the works for the F3, along with a backrest. I took the demo from my dealer for a 35 mile ride and the vibration was quite pronounced, my wife even noticed. My demo was set in Kilometers and it was around 123-125 which converted to 76-77 MPH. My magnesium SM should be here...

Belt tensioner compatible with SpyderPops Rock guard?

There is no interference with the belt guard with the standard front mount tensioner for the RT's. The tensioner should be set with the wheels on the ground. Raising the spyder with the rear wheel off the ground will decrease the static tension and allow more deflection in the belt for the...

That quick boot-up time was one of the first things I noticed also, it will be nice to have that back.

    F3 S Demo ride

My dealer got their demo last week, a white base F3 - SE6. They let me have it today for a 45 minute ride, I took the wife along as she is the CFO. My first response when I got back was "Just Fantastic", and it was. My wife said it felt very planted like it had claws in the road. I wouldn't...
