• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Yep! the antenna on our RT just disappeared. Our dealer told us he'd just given his last antenna to the rep who stopped in after his antenna disappeared... Ours was replaced under warranty.

    Road Rage by a cager

You're absolute right M2Wild . . . another vehicle (2, 3 or 4 wheels) IS a deadly weapon, but even with an 'equalizer' in your pocket, how do you think you're going to prevail over somebody who isn't being rational or playing with a full deck? Let's say you use your deadly weapon to defeat...

oil change each 3000 mls or 6000 mls

Hi Chris, I spoke with our dealer about that yesterday when I took the RT in for the clutch replacement. He said the Spyders have 2 oil filters and run really clean. My take on his response was that they recommend every 3000 miles just in case there's a problem . . . .usually the oil is still...

    Road Rage by a cager

I hope everyone understands I didn't post those remarks for sympathy or to 'one-up' Sopher's experience . . . . it doesn't matter if we're on 2, 3 or 4 wheels . . . when someone is having a bad day (or life) decides to drive irresponsibly, the safest thing to do is to focus on your own safety...

    Road Rage by a cager

Glad you made it without incident! I do hope you got the license plate # and filed a Citizens Report with the Sheriff's Dept. I just did that with a USCellular truck with out of state license a few weeks ago. There seems to have an unbelievable number of those crazy drivers on the roads...

    Owners without problems - Rollcall

8000 miles on a 2010 RT-SE5 #1 problem was with the trunk lock -- replaced under warranty; #2 antenna fell off -- dealer replacing under warranty. taking it in tomorrow for clutch replacement even though we've had no problems. 2700 miles on a 2010 RS-SE5 one bad shift at an intersection...

    What Was Your First Motorcycle?

Vaughn already posted his first motorcycle, but here's mine.... 1976 500 Suzuki . . . ya can't imagine the miles I put on that bike! It was a 2 stroke and the vibration was incredible.... but who cared? i had the wind in my face! (even if i could sit down!) Cat

    ?? Troubles ??

Ryde on! :ohyea::yes:  :agree:   :ohyea: Our Spyders have had fewer issues and/or recall notices than the other vehicles we own (foreign or domestic). We've had our RT 4 months and have already put 8000 miles on it; and over 2000 on the RS in 2 months. All they...

    It is hot here . . . . .

The digital temp display on our RT always reads 5 to 20 degrees above the real temp. Last March, at 43 degrees, we're wishing it was (rather than actual 38 degrees) . . . but at this summer, when it reads 120, it don't matter. . . . we're wilting. :chill: But, it don't matter . . ...

I have the worst luck, karma, whatever....

So true! On the signature line of the back of our cards, along with our signatures have written "SEE PHOTO ID" and about 1 in 10 times, someone will ask to see it. (By the way, we signed with a permanent fine tip marker and fill up the whole space . . . . because someone I know had their...

    sryder vs. deer

 whew, that was close! glad you're safe and the Spyder didn't suffer too much. Over the past umpteen years, Vaughn is very careful but he has hit 3 deer within a few miles of the house (on his motorcycle before we got the Spyders). I used to be a deer lover, but now I'd...

Sounds like you're on the right track . . . if it's happening to someone else at the same place, hopefully they can track 'em down. So sorry you're having to go through all this; it's such a violation . . . :gaah: I'd be interested to know if anybody knows of a free credit reporting...
