• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Somewhat happy!!

Yes you are right about the clutch reaction it works as you say, I'll keep trying to time my clutch pull a little slower after throttle reduction, got to get timing right as they say! Maybe that's just the way they programed the beast. Will mention it to dealer tech when l go in for 3000 mile...

    Somewhat happy!!

throttle not right Its hard to explain, thought it was me but two other riders rode my bike and had the same problem. The rpms do not drop off fast enough, if you pull clutch lever in before it has time to drop off, it of course reeve's up. If you shift slowly you can make a smooth shift...

    Somewhat happy!!

sorry I noticed l did put RTs se6 but l have a sm6. So has anybody else have this throttle issue, l have rode all types of motorcycles for 55years and never had this problem shifting!
  13. denniswheat1

    Somewhat happy!!

The throttle problem is that when you cut the throttle to shift it doesn't drop the rpm fast enough, so it reevs up about 500 rpm when you pull in clutch. Yes l believe a new sway bar would help, but out here in the sticks l don't know anybody who could install it. I'm about 200 lbs so maybe if...

    shifting question?

new bike Yes this is a 014 RT s sm6 with 80 miles so far. I was curious about the throttle response so will put more miles on it before I get more concerned. If it's still that way after 3000 miles will have it checked during break in service:thumbup:

    shifting question?

Well I just bought a RTs sm6 after not liking my RS se5. I love my new ride, lots of comfort, but when I shift up and reduce throttle, pull in clutch to shift the rpms doesn't drop fast enough. If I shift slow it works find, if I shift fast like I have done on all other bikes the rpms are still...
