• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Rear hub, what to remove?

Already watched his video, gives some great advice. Thanks for your input on the ratchet strap! Have done a lot of work on Spyders in the past, just never messed with changing rear tire. Learning to do it myself will be nice and save money.

    Rear hub, what to remove?

Thanks for your insight! Not going to dealer, wanting to replace with car tire and dealer will not do that. But thinking with the new style tire machines, they should be able to remove/replace tire without removing rotor and ABS ring?

    Rear hub, what to remove?

Hello, I have a 2021 Spyder RT Limited and want to know what needs to be removed from rear hub to replace the rear tire? I know I will have to take left side sprocket off, but do I need to remove the rotor from the right side? Videos I can find shows a two piece hub, newer models have a single...

Well it finally made it to the garage

As for the CC, you have to be moving at least 30mph before light will show in dash! Will not just show up if you turn it on in driveway!

    Weather News January 2022

Here in Northwest New Mexico, about 7000 feet, it has snowed about 6 inches in the last week, temps very cold at night, but last couple of days have been in the low 50’s. Roads are clear enough to ride, got out today and rode a 75 mile loop, all on pavement! Wet in places, but doable! Plan on...

Where to get car tires mounted

Like Troop, I removed my own tires/rims and took them into a local tire shop. Made sure they had a small enough cone to balance tires with. They mounted and balanced my new Vredestein tires, one took no weight, the other only an ounce! Really does improve the smoothness of the ride. Never have...

2021 RTL - Do I need a dealer to sign off the 3000 mile inspection?

After reading your great responses, I called my local dealer and explained what I had done on my own when I changed oil/filter and the other checks I had done. He stated that other than maybe a few more “tightening” checks, I had covered all of the major things needed and what the dealer would...

2021 RTL - Do I need a dealer to sign off the 3000 mile inspection?

I have a 2021 RTL and have done the first service (oil/filter), checked the air filter, installed a LaMonster vibration dampener for the belt and installed Vredestein tires on the front. They balanced out with no weight on one, and the other only an ounce! I have no vibration and no pulling at...

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

Update: received my new tensioner from LaMonster, pulled panels and floor boards to get to the frame. Easy install with spacer and bolt’s supplied! Watch the torque on the bolts, seem soft, don’t want to break them off! Take your time on panels, off and on! Just took my time and had it completed...

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

FYI - update on my installation of belt tensioner. The one furnished by dealer did not fit right - where the tensioner sets on the frame and bolts to frame, the frame has an indention, so the tensioner would not sit flat! That was an OEM tensioner, so I ordered the new one that LaMonster has...

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

Think the one you replaced the stock one with will last longer! I will check out the belt guard. Thanks

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

When I bought my 2021 RTL, I was told that it had the “white” new front pulley and a belt tensioner! When it arrived at the house, neither was true! Called the dealer and am very happy to report that they made it right, sent out the parts and a check to cover install! Only issue in New Mexico is...

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

Your correct, the early 2021 do not have one, would replace the roller from LaMonster anyway! I will be installing One furnished by dealer, I have switched out the roller for Lamonsters upgraded one. Will give update when job completed. Thanks for your input!

Looking for someone to install belt tensioner on 2021 RT

Monk, Did dealer install the dampener or did you find someone to help you? My question is on the mounting location, in a video from Smoak, the mounting looked like it mounted to a plastic piece? On the LaMonster installation video, showed mounting to the frame! I have a 2021 RTL and need the...

    2021 Outside Temp Gauge Issue

I have a 2021 RTL, same issue with temperature going very high when your setting in traffic, once you start moving, comes back to being relatively accurate! I am usually riding on nicer days, so outside temp. really doesn’t effect my ride! Just my thoughts…

Looking for a Laser Alignment shop in Phoenix area?

Hello, looking for an alignment shop for my 2021 Spyder RTL. Would like to find a dealer/shop that anyone has used and is happy with. Phoenix is about five hours from me in Western NM, but feel it’s worth the drive. Local dealers are very short handed and do not have a “certified” tech to...

Idler pulley has wear marks at 300 miles - it's coming off!

I think capt.jim is correct on the thought about frame coming down and hitting the roller! I had this happen to me when I owned a 2010 RT, the suspension would slowly leak off and the frame/ tank came down and actually chewed up my roller! Should be able to see where roller made contact with...
