• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Grip Fits - does the Ryker use standard diameters for both grips?

Always a fan of the old style Triumph balloon grips. Wondering if the Ryker uses standard diameters for both bar and throttle sleeve? Drilling the ends for the mirror mounts should do it if the things will fit.

ST2 Brake Light Modulator & TrikLED Fender LEDs - need connection under hood?

Yup ... also plan to add a third eye out back, probably up under the tail end of the max mount. Main thing is to have all the brake lights synchronize to get their attention without minimum "dUH WTF" factor ...

ST2 Brake Light Modulator & TrikLED Fender LEDs - need connection under hood?

Operative word there being "rear" ... No different to me than the third eye brake lights on a pickup. We're talking equal or greater difference than the Ryker ... (Ditto for the "smart" helmet lights. With those, add "bobbing about like a bobble head" to the list of possible distractions.) <G>...

ST2 Brake Light Modulator & TrikLED Fender LEDs - need connection under hood?

Picked up an ST2 brake light modulator recently. For those not familiar with the item, it's a GPS adapter that when hooked up to the brake circuit, will cause the lights to flash then go steady on any deceleration. Same concept as the BackOff! and it's clones, but you don't have to touch the...

Weak brakes! Stock Ryker brakes suck - Any other calipers fit?

Rule of thumb ... tighten a bolt until just before it snaps off ... ;-} PS - on the shoes. Recently found out EBC uses a special coating on their shoes to give you instant grip out of the box. That coating wears fast, but is enough to give you extra stopping power until the pads break into the...

    Ryker won't start !!!!! Again

Maybe just install an on/off switch inline with the direct battery hookup. Goes without saying, a battery tender is a good idea for storage longer than a week or so. I always add a permanent connector to the bikes. I'm sure there's an open socket in the fuse box you can hook up to, and plenty...

Your opinion about the Ryker OEM mirrors

Don't skimp on the lights either ... <G>

Reverse Beep sounds odd, should I worry?

I like BIG BEEPS And I cannot lie ... Baby got BACKup!

Your opinion about the Ryker OEM mirrors

I figure the stock mirrors do a decent enough job of seeing what's behind you, and if aimed properly, show me what I got to see, eh. And me with stenosis and a frozen neck. + I put one of those panorama mirrors on ... it looks kinda neat, but can't remember the last time I checked it for...

Your opinion about the Ryker OEM mirrors

Full size wide view mirrors can screw with relativity when trying to gauge distance and angle to the next impact point. A little stick on spot at best can at least indicate you're missing something in the "big picture" afforded by the stock mirrors ... eh. ... and not to forget, OBJECTS IN...

Reverse Beep sounds odd, should I worry?

I'd think odd is good, as it would attract more attention? ;-} Maybe add a REAL beeper on the a$$ end where it belongs. I've got the suicide shift conversion on mine, and it'd be right easy to add a standerd brake light plunger switch there to drive one. You think yours is loud ... wait till...

Cannot swing leg over Ryker with luggage on it - any solutions?

Currently using the straps that come with the bag, with a strip of velcro to lock it in place and keep it from wandering about. I also cinch both straps together under the max mount using a handy dandy velcro utility strap ... Easy to remove if necessary, but mine pretty much stays there. *...

Cannot swing leg over Ryker with luggage on it - any solutions?

Plan is ... plan ahead? I went with a collapsible bag here. Not as much storage room, but certainly an improvement over the f'in runk ... <G> As in the pic, good for a light coat and gloves, expanded is good for an overnite. Also fits as bucket o'chicken if you've a mind to ... (Nelson...

Cannot swing leg over Ryker with luggage on it - any solutions?

Another peg leg ... how many of us are hiding out there? Lost my left leg below the knee in a motorcycle accident about five years back, and can't ride a "real" motorcycle any more. The Ryker gets me back on the road. * My timing sucks though. Or is it Can Am's? My first attempt was a Ural...

Cannot swing leg over Ryker with luggage on it - any solutions?

Extra pegs? Well that's just silly ... (call me silly) <G> You can set the second peg further back on the rail, but I have a fake leg and use both pegs to trap the "foot" heel and toe while riding. Little peace of mind not having to worry about hitting a bump and seeing my leg sail off into...

    Ryker Spotter Thread

I saw two Rikers just the other day ... ;-} Saw a couple Rykers recently in Greenville MI, but that's maybe because the only dealership within 30 miles is located there.

Which Rykers come with an open Rear fender? Optional?

https://can-am-shop.brp.com/on-road/us/en/219400963-rally-fender.html Oh - don't forget you need the max mount for the fender tail up top - those ain't cheap. Your light cluster should work with either fender. Worth mentioning - the "exposed to the gravel" butt crack? <G>

Weak brakes! Stock Ryker brakes suck - Any other calipers fit?

FA135 front FA165 front FA317R (rear) (same all years) Right happy with just the pads. Whole lot more positive grip all around, and no detectable fade. So far, all I see is solid discs aftermarket - I might be tempted if somebody comes out with vented versions though. PS - looks like SM has...

Will the Ryker drive train clunk reduce after break-in is complete?

    Mine clunked regularly when I first got it, but it settled down after playing with the throttle some and getting the hang of how to engage the beast. Practice makes perfect. * My VMax clunked some, but mostly caused by barnett clutch plates chattering on takeoff. I hate that when that happens. ;-}

After suggestions on Cleaning black body parts?

Note to anyone contemplating a body wrap - a lot of these cleaner/polishes can be almost impossible to remove completely for good adhesion on the wrap. That said, I've done some decals made of the same type material and haven't watched them flutter away in the rear views, eh.
