• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Riding alone in remote areas - essentials?

There are still many remote areas without reliable cell coverage - as some of you who attended SITA this summer learned. :( Mountainous terrain can block signals. As a precaution, you might want to verify if you'll have any black spots. I lose cell coverage in my 26 mile trip from my home to...

how much wind, is too much wind

I'm a very new rider and presently, 15 -18 mph sustained winds are uncomfortable for me. I still go out in those winds, but I don't enjoy it. Of course, along with the sustained winds on a windy day, are the unpredictable gusts. :yikes: I'm seriously considering the cal-sci windshield, which I...

    Traffic jam in Wall SD

What a great picture.:clap::clap: My Spyder doesn't seem to draw much interest in my immediate area, though I've had a couple of people ask me if I like it. Oh yes, there was the one person who approached me to tell me they looked dangerous. :(

We are officially crazy! Ed's on chemo and...

I know transfusions sound very scary and I suppose they are with regard to the fact that your body is not doing the blood stuff that needs to be done. The reality is that the transfusion gives one's body time to collect itself and start repairing. My mother had transfusions and felt marvelous...

    Cal Sci Windshield review

I have a 3/4 helmet. With the face shield, sometimes my vision doesn't seem as clear. Having a windshield that would further impact clear vision would really make me nervous.
