• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

THE REALLY WARM GLOVES I HAD AT SPYDERFEST

I've got our gloves ordered; should have them in time for the Owners Event, but I'm not expecting Maggie Valley's weather in June to rival that of Spyderfest's in April. Warmer rain, hopefully, if/when it does rain. See you guys next month!

    Spyderfest book

I'm impressed...you have Spyder Stalker under your profile...did you see your special picture? LOL. See you in Maggie Valley.

Here's a link to the book we just finished about Spyderfest. Hope you enjoy it. (Actually I'm hoping the link works OK for you!) http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=0AauWLFo3YsWjwA

    Tempted

We have around 35000 miles on our first Spyder (a manual RS which is my husband's, which we've owned a little over 2 years) and almost 8000 miles on my RT, which we purchased late last fall. I got my license after we purchased the RT and LOVE riding it. My Mini Cooper convertible usually gets...

When would you like to see Spyderfest Happening?

I totally agree. I have never been on this forum and felt unwelcome to voice an opinion before, but there have been a lot of hostile comments over this issue. I am sorry I ever brought up the :cus: weather. Usually people can offer their opinion about something without feeling under attack...

SW Kentucky riders....are you out there?

I don't think we saw a Spyder in the state of KY 2 summers ago when we spent a week there and rode all around. Hope you locate some riding buddies!

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Thank you for getting the point of my post...it's NOT the rain that I was complaining about, it was the COLD rain! For us to travel 750+ miles to get ONE day of good riding was a bummer. I appreciated all the work the MoGang did (I even helped them stuff registration bags while waiting for...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

I wouldn't mind the rain in May...it's the COLD rain that is a problem. Besides, a little later Spyderfest would enable the Northern riders to ride down rather than trailer...or to come when they couldn't otherwise because of snow where they live. That said, GREAT job, MoGang. See you at the...

MoGang: PLEASE move Spyderfest to MAY

Dear Len and MoGang members: I am thoroughly tired of the April showers in Missouri (or was it Misery?)...how about trying for the May flowers instead (as the childhood rhyme goes)? Those of us not used to the cold could better acclimate to the weather in May...the time between Mother's Day...

    RAIN, RAIN AND MORE RAIN

The Spyder handles the rain just fine; it's the other drivers out there that I'm not so sure of. For some reason my waterproof Can-Am boots chose this year to NOT be waterproof. Cold wet feet all day yesterday. Haven't ventured out at all yet today. Can't stand being cold and wet at the same...

    Ultimate Seat Passenger Backrest

Our 2008 GS/RS has the Ultimate seat with both driver and passenger backrests. Loved them but my 2012 RT still has the stock seat and I've been comfortable with it. We had the Utopia backrest put on at Pitbull last week; now I have 2 small holes in my seat behind the backrest, which Len said...

Anyone drive with there high beams /

We drive with the high beams and fog lights on during the day, but turn off the high beams when it starts to get dark. Haven't had any issues with the battery.

What Ride-On do you use for the Spyder?

We use the automotive Ride-on in our Spyder tires (it helps balance the tires and also self-seals in case of a puncture). A little bumpy when it is first put in but I'd say that didn't last 1/4 mile or so.

    Spyderfest check-in

Ed (Erags) and I (Cheryl, aka DocRags) have arrived in Springfield. We've been in Marshfield, approx. 30 miles away, for a week and a half cleaning out Ed's childhood home since his dad died in January. We finally finished this afternoon  and made our way to the Ozark Highlands RV Park on...

    Maiden Voyage

Down here, we consider that :cus: cold, even with the heated grips! Enjoy your new ride. Hope to see you at one of the Spyder events, like Spyderfest or the Owners Event. Have fun, ride safe.:congrats::welcome:

    Can this be true?

Boy, I learned that lesson the hard way when I stepped on one in the house and a gazillion babies started scattering in every direction :spyder::spyder::spyder:...shocked the :cus: out of the person I was talking with on the phone when I screamed, in fact! :yikes:

2012 RT limited gas mileage issue

I usually fill up around 120-130 miles, but that's because I become too nervous as the fuel gauge gets closer to the E. Most tanks are 26-28 mpg although I've had them down to 24 and occasionally as high as 30. The most miles I've logged on a tank was 150+, but I figured on that trip that I...

    Owners Event Feedback Request...

:agree::agree: I totally agree with Scotty...although I would have to say I saw the maps way before the last day! Guess it goes back to the old "I pick up anything I see" approach! GPS coordinates for stops along the way would be nice, too. (don't remember whether they were on there).
