• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

work in an office? wanna mess with your co-workers?

    1) Take a screen shot of your co-worker's desktop. The Snip-tool is good for this. 2) Create a new folder.... move ALL icons from the desktop into that folder. 3) Change there background picture to the screen shot of their desktop (that you took earlier) 4) Sit back and watch them lose their...

Actually, he gave me better than what I was proposing. But you may be right. I guess if I owned a business, I'd want to know what my customers think, so it's probable that he reads the forums. And in retrospect, I've gone to Hattiesburg Cycles a few times. This was the only time the owner...

What is the most expensive repair you have done on Spyder after warranty ?

On my RT-s, I had about 125lbs of nagging right behind me in the passenger seat. Nothing a quick divorce couldn't fix but it was expensive. :)

What seat do you like the best and why?

When I got my '13 RT-S, I had them remove the "comfort seat" and install the seat from my 2011 RT-S. It was factory by the previous owner installed a Utopia backrest and I had grown accustomed to it.

    Trip Meter

I chuckled. Picturing the Spyder saying "My 6inch backlit LCD screen is saying 'No' but my IEEE Syntac-Resistored Processor is saying 'Yes'."

Does the President of BRP know about your "serious" Spyder problem(s)

The ball joints and shocks have both been addressed. If they haven't been replaced on someone's 2013 already, they simply need to make an appointment and get them replaced. When I bought mine, the ball joint was already fixed. During my next service, they will replace the shocks. That being...

    cruise control system

Yep, roll the throttle a little and disengage. Smooth as a baby's bottom. I use the CC a lot on the interstate when I take it to work. It's an hour long drive so it's very helpful. But if I'm just "riding"... Nope, I like to vary my speed through the hills and curves. But it's a good...

Spyder601, I completely agree. Every dealership will have problems. How they recover and react to those problems separate a bad dealer from a good dealer. Mr. Larry and Hattiesburg Cycles has done right by me and more than made up for the bad experience with ONE salesman. I will continue...

She's getting a little wet but that's fine. There's a HUGE difference in the way this one handles vs the 2011s. Loving it... Will post more later.

RESOLUTION!!!! We're just finishing up the paperwork. I had a whole speech planned about what to tell the GM and salesman. As I was walking in to Hattiesburg Cycles, the owner (Mr. Larry) saw me and asked if there was a problem. I told him yes, I specifically asked about preexisting issues...

Well, I'm bringing it in tomorrow and will ask them to trade it in for a new one, give me the trade in value of what I paid for it plus the $1300.00 for the last repairs put towards the new bike (basically erasing this purchase and starting over). I've been going over in my head about how that...

Knarfoh, WOW! Thanks a lot for the insight and the research. I live in Mississippi (MS) so I'll google to see if we have that clause in our Lemon Laws. I wasn't going to threaten with a lawyer... I've been on the other end of that conversation and have been instructed by our legal team that...

Thanks for the recommendation.... I thought Lemon Laws were specifically for used vehicles? If I can't return it...I'll have them service the crap out of it. I purchased the warranty... covers everything expect normal wear and tear.

No worries on that front. For all they know, it could have been one of the service guys in the back that let it "slip". I looked up "lemon laws" with MS has... but it doesn't look like it covers motorcycles.
