• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Inexpensive Video Cam

I have one, and it works ok for low res video. The sound quality stinks. Directions are almost non existant but can be found on some web sites. It does come with a lot of options to mount it. I picked it up from this site http://www.firebox.com/ and here is an example of the video quality...

    Southern Holiday

If skiing and ridding are on the agenda, Albuquerque may be ideal. You have http://www.sandiapeak.com/ in town and your close to http://www.skisantafe.com/ and http://www.skiapache.com/ and http://www.skitaos.org/ but we are hurting for moisture so far this season. When I was living there, it...

    Southern Holiday

Any where along I-10 will have mild temps most of the winter. There is also some great ridding in these areas. If you do get a blast of winter, its not likely to last more than 48hrs. Check my post on this thread http://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=24275 for some other idea's. In...

Any ideas for January ryding in AZ-NM-TX?

I would recommend the Texas Hill country or Southern Arizona. Most great rides in New Mexico tend to be through high elevation. While the weather is usually mild, it is very unpredictable. Fredericksberg Texas would be a good place to use as a hub. You would be close to rides like this...

How many miles did you put on your Spyder this summer?

Picked it up 7-10-2010 and gotten in about 2800mi so far. I'll probably only take about 5 more days off this year, so there will not be many more this year. Then home for the Super Bowl.

    Safty recall on DPS

I received my recall letter Thursday evening, and already had a 600mi service scheduled for Friday at 11a at Las Cruces Motorsports. Asked about the recall when I checked in. They had 1 of the new RT units left, but it would likely take overnight to finish. They knocked the work out by closing...

    Holiday weekend....where you going???

My weekend will be New Concord OH to Maquoketa IA, but I'll be on 18 wheels instead of 3 though. Terrorizing the amateurs. Need to get home for a few to get my 600mi done and my MC endorsement. I need a stack of paperwork for my CDL change. :gaah:

I really liked the white RS, and it looks great on the RT. As dirty as my blue RT was last week, I think the white would drive me crazy.

    250mi lunch run.

I headed out on NM 152 from Caballo NM to Silver City NM. This took me through the Gila National Forest and over Emory pass with lots of nice twisties. Stopped for enchiladas in Silver City. I then took NM 15 to the Gila Cliff Dwellings. A narrow road with no center stripe, and more twisties. I...

    Deer motorcycle accidents.

Deer Whistles The experience I have had with whistles are with 18 wheels vs 3. I have hit 3 deer, once with them and twice without. The difference seems to be more bird strikes with them. Maybe the high pitch sounds attract scavengers seeking wounded small animals. Or my red truck scares the...
