• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Installed Kuryakyn 4393 Premium Mini Boards

Not hard to install at all. I would call it a universal fit, not a custom fit. Hardest part was deciding which way to install the spring, Kuryakyn instruction way or my way (decided on my way). The boards have to tilt slightly downward in the front and it makes the brake pedal a wonderful...

Installed Kuryakyn 4393 Premium Mini Boards

On my 2008 RS SM5 I just installed the Kuryakyn 4393 Mini Boards with the 8808 adapters on the rider foot pegs. Trying to get away from those OEM foot pegs. I haven't ridden more than a few blocks but they definitely helped with brake pedal reach. The shifter side still needs a little...

Oil Over Filled and a Bit Foamy

I'll wait and check after my next ride. I did warm it up and ride a couple miles before I checked it though. In the future I'll just put in 4 quarts (with filter change..always do filter) Any thoughts on the foam I mentioned on the dipstick? Normal?

Oil Over Filled and a Bit Foamy

Thanks Drew, I followed the check engine oil procedure in the owners manual. Could you expand on "extra oil does get drawn up into the intake and will make a mess" comment please.

Oil Over Filled and a Bit Foamy

Just checked the oil level on my new to me 2008 RS and I believe it is over filled. Dip stick reads F without screwing it in at all and I noticed some foam / bubbles on the dip stick. The previous owner (a trusted friend and maintenance nut) had just changed oil using Castrol Power RS Racing...

    Foot Brake Pedal Height Adjustment?

Me too..damn stupid design. The foot shifter needs to be lowered too, I rotated the toe thingy down but still not low enough. Tomorrow I will pull the assembly off with a gear puller and rotate it CW one tooth or maybe 2 or 3, whatever is needed to make this thing enjoyable and safe. If I do...

    Foot Brake Pedal Height Adjustment?

I am wondering if there is an adjustment on the 'at rest' position of the foot brake pedal (right side, not parking brake)? The 2008 GS Sport riding position has my knees bent and my feet are too far behind me to allow me to raise just my toe to step on the brake pedal. The result is I have to...

    Manual Parking Brake Adjustment Question

i have a 2008 RS SM5 with the manual foot operated parking brake. When I make the adjustment via the shop manual instructions the foot pedal goes all the way to the bottom before it holds the Spyder and locks the parking brake. Is this normal? I would think the parking brake should hold on...

How do you secure your helmet when parked?

Has anyone come up with another way of securing helmets besides placing them in the frunk or the cable lock through the passenger grab rails?

Rivco Driver floorboards and Heel Toe Shifter Pictures?

It looks like to toe shifter would hit your ankle? Would it be better if it was further forward 3 or 4 inches?

Rivco Driver floorboards and Heel Toe Shifter Pictures?

Yes I have but it appears the toe shifter would hit your ankle? Surely that is not correct, I would hate that.

Rivco Driver floorboards and Heel Toe Shifter Pictures?

Does anyone have pictures of the Rivco Driver Floorboards (CA020-WO) and Heel Toe Shifter (CA020-26) installed? Any opinions? Thinking of getting these for my 2008 RS but would be nice to see them installed. Thanks.
