• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Many New High end Motorcycles now provide similar Nanny functionality as the Spyder.

A bulletin (I forget the source) I read a few weeks back had an article about the major motorcycle safety groups asking the NHTSA(?) to mandate ABS brakes on all motorcycle after a date to be determined. So it's probably coming to all the bikes. On a similar note has anybody else noticed how...

    Fog light question.

Can't speak to the '13's but one of the reason I bought my 2012 RT-S was the installed fogs. I figured the more light up fron the better. They have a separate switch in the switch group in front of the seat. Ride and ride safe,

Service Interval - one more time

For me anyway. Okay I searched on both 4600 and service interval and as I'm able to wrap my head around it after the oil change that includes the new larger filter the interval goes from 3000 miles to 4600 miles. I did the change just before my trip to DC in May at a little over 3500 miles so my...

I was there last year wont make it this year and I'm not sure some of the picture would make it as this is a family type operation. You really need to go to experience the full flavor of the event, but Old Dog has it pretty well summed up. Ride and ride safe,

    Old Syle fender LEDs

Resistor The dropping resistor for the LEDs in most replacement units is built in. I have found that most of the cheaply priced units usually start to deteriorate due to really :cus: solder joints and vibration. I took a couple apart and pieces (components) were loose in the housing. One of the...

    Really BRP????? (venting)

Did you get your Spyder from the same dealer where you got your Skidoos? If so how's the Spyder service/parts? What I'm trying to wrap my head around is is the dealers or BRP or both that cause these unnecessarily long delays in get parts and getting work done. Ride and ride safe,

    Really BRP????? (venting)

If anything kills the Spyder It's going to be the lack of reliable competent customer service at the dealerships and the seeming inability of BRP to keep parts moving in a timely manner. I'm really curious if owners of other BRP products have the same experience. :gaah: Actually I'd be curious...

I put the fogs on at night as they seem to help illuminate the road close in to the bike. With some of our roads and streets around here I find it helps in avoiding pot holes. Ride and ride safe,
