• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    2014 RT SE6 Oil Filter

To my surprise I've searched everywhere for a part number, cross reference numbers for other manufacturers, etc..., but haven't been able to find any information on this. So is the oil filter for the 2014 RT the same one that was used for the 2013? Has anyone verified what it truly is? I'm...

I used 14 gauge, and used the relay. While you can get away with connecting the horn straight to the RT without a relay, you will notice a slight delay when you hit the horn switch (on cold days it is worse), and a few less decibels (you can use a db meter app on your smart phone to confirm) if...

I just completed the Wolo install tonight. As always, it is a major improvement over stock. I always forget Wolo puts that stupid cartoon label on the horn that takes forever to get it off (took me about 20 minutes to get it off with no residue). If I had remembered that before I purchased...

    2014 RT-S MPG Report for Texas (V2.0)

My first tank was my worst in MPG, so I'm guessing you'll see an increase as well. Congratulations on your new RT-S. That new silver color is really nice. Between that, the Cognac and Black, it was a very tough decision to make. Ultimately it was my better half who tipped the scales in favor...

    2014 RT-S MPG Report for Texas (V2.0)

I believe the drag coefficient is the RT's enemy. I also believe that if you were able to find a road where you could do a constant 50-55 mph, you would see a huge difference in MPG. From BRP's website: Optimize your shifting behaviour with the new ECO mode smart assist, reducing your fuel...

Adding Heat to a Stock Seat

Well, we went out on a nice ride Saturday. I told my wife to turn her seat on, and see how long it takes to get warm. I turned mine on as well. Within 30 seconds I felt a significant amount of heat, my wife also said that her seat was getting quite warm as well. Was this because the bike was...

    2014 RT-S MPG Report for Texas (V2.0)

Mileage Report updated. MPG is a slight drop from the last ride, last weekend. Today there were wind gusts at over 20 MPH, and I drove through the entire city to and from my destination, whereas last time I did not. I'm guessing if I had stayed away from all of the stop lights, mileage would...

Sena SMH-10 Firmware Update Ver 5.0 Released

This is one of the things I like about Sena. Other manufacturers aren't constantly improving the software for their current customers. They would rather just sell you a new device. I really like the jog dial of the SMH10, and I hope to have this one for a long time; as I have no complaints...

    Mirror Turn Indicators

Does anyone have a picture of, or know what the mirror backings looks like? I want to install my indicators behind the mirrors, but don't want to make major modifications to the mirror backings.

Adding Heat to a Stock Seat

Yes, they were powered up, lights on, key on accessory, but the engine was not started (maybe it needs to be to deliver the proper current flow). Maybe I just didn't give it long enough. This weekend we'll test it on our rides.

Adding Heat to a Stock Seat

I wrapped up this project late last night. Roger, my question for you is do you feel a lot of heat from these units (like with a traditional heated seat), and do your seats heat up quickly? Do you feel any noticeable heat on the low setting, or do you always use the high setting? The reason I...

Stebel and Wolo are both air horns, but are very small, not like the traditional air horns that have a separate compressor and individual trumpets. This being said, they are perfect for a bike application. Since these two horns are so great and affordable, I haven't had any long term...

    Brake Pads Replacement

It sounds like Dave and I went to the same school for braking. Not only is this much easier on the brake pads and tires; giving you more life out of both; but it also makes you a safer driver which may ultimately save your life one day.

Bob, you can use the existing wiring, but the existing wiring can not deliver the amps that the Wolo demands to produce the full 118 db; so it won't be as loud. To make the Wolo sound at a full 118 db, you need to run a heavy gauge wire straight to the battery and use the included relay...

    New Farkles Completed this week....

Nice job JL. I noticed at times I get some erratic flashing on my stock blinkers. However, it does seem to stabilize after a few seconds. Now if I could just perfect the art of cancelling the turn signal (left turn seems to be the most difficult to cancel). The traffic behind me must think...
