• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    Elka shock rebound adjustment

When I contacted elka I was told to use the bent stick like tool included with the shock but when I looked on bottom part of the rear shock where the adjustment is made, I only see adjustment screws with slotted head! Any ideas?

    Heat kills battery!

well, rode it our shop and had the mechanic put a meter on it and cells are healthy and holding charge. I guess that one loose plug that goes into fog light HID ballast WAS draining that much electricity...

    quatrac tires

I am not sure if its because I am used to rock hard truck tires but why do these feels so soft on sidewalls? air pressure is at 16psi in front and 22(still playing with it) in the back but both just feel so soft even compared to kendas, I think.

    Heat kills battery!

I am lost now. last night while I was getting ready for long trip, I found a loose cable that goes into HID module for fog light. I secured it, put everything back together and now the battery is holding charge again. I had it jumped yesterday to move it, didn't go far parked it and tonight, its...

    elka rear shock issue

I just installed elka stage 2 in the rear and its rock hard and when I press down on rear end, it takes like 1 1/2-2 seconds to pop back up. I chose performance when ordering but I don't know if I have problem. I can understand that they may have set the pre load too hard for my taste but...

    Heat kills battery!

I ordered a new off brand battery from Walmart as the that was the only place get it delivered by Friday(I am leaving on Saturday for California) and I will try putting a battery tender on it. I was thinking it would not help because it’s the chemical part of battery that’s changed by heat.

    Heat kills battery!

Well it looks high heat, up to 120 degrees in Texas desert killed my 14 month battery. It’s been sitting outside with cover on but ridden weekly. Battery is weak enough now, it won’t crank. I don’t think a battery tender will help.

    Front Sprocket Spline Failures

It was done under 3rd party extended warranty. I don’t remember name of that 3 rd party but they picked up the whole tab so I don’t know how much the bill was. It was done at an authorized dealer by possibility not well trained mechanic because engine blew up the day I picked it up. Valves...

    Front Sprocket Spline Failures

Just pulled the front sprocket, cleaned and applied that moly grease before putting it back together. Surprisingly, there was no wear as far as I can tell and it had some white stuff on the spline. 2015 RS with 12k. I was concerned because my old 09 had failed front sprocket 3 times including...

Using Balancing and ride on together

    Missing sensor?

I see. thank you rear tire change is much easier now with self=contained rim, no hub to remove and less things to contend with. check bearing on both side and you are done. I am not sure why parts scheme still shows removable hub.

    Missing sensor?

I was changing rear tire and shock and I watched finless’s video and he mentioned a sensor needed to be unhooked prior to but there was no sensor there. There is still a a place to mount it but no sensor. Is it that 2015 RS did not require that sensor or possibly been moved?

Any difference between 2014 and 2015 RS, engine wise?

Well. Back to Vegas. I can not let my poor Spyder keep running so dry or lean... There isn’t any other choice other than monster fuel’s us partner in LA. I will have to take my RS in for testing.

Any difference between 2014 and 2015 RS, engine wise?

I got tired of waiting for volunteer RS for testing of dynojet vision cx so I was gonna get power commander but it only lists up to 2014 RS on vehicle fitment. Dynojet says they were moving toward development of vision and stopped testing but you would think if it works for 14, it should work...
