• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    At the Border

Ya - no kidding - and this last batch coming through seemed to defy the laws of nature - lets see, it was 41 degrees - partly sunny, and SNOWING here in SE Wisconsin - one of those things dont belong!

Any thoughts on the recently announced TomTom Rider 5 Motorcycle GPS?

FWIW - I have tried many different brands of GPS over the years. The ones that seemed to have lifetime anything (traffic or maps) as a general part of their entire GPS line seemed to also have the most quirks (slow processors, navigation through the menus, routing, limited POI's, etc.) and were...

More Thoughts on A Dealer Rating Thread

With the internet and forums very few come on to say " wow - I got the exact service I went in for and at a fair price" Most times we only hear about people feeling unjustly harmed usually in an effort to sway everyone. We all want to think our negative experience is so unjust that the whole...

Still suggest you remove the passenger backrest - makes it easier to get at the hinge from above!

    Seat lock Rt

No gas spring to hold it in the up position (or does the corbin seat not accept the gas spring)?

    New corbin seat installation

You may want to look at the video I put up yesterday in the How to forum. While it is an Ultimate seat that procedure will line up the locking pin for you before you tighten down the hinge positions making the locking pin and gas spring work for you.

    Aftermarket versus BRP Comfort seat

Boy, would that not be sweet if it were true for our bikes. Harley dealers have the "try a seat" program. Spyder dealers are luck to even have a comfort or aftermarket seat in stock much less a "try it" program but it would be a nice feature.

    Ultimate Seats installed

Ultimate Seats- it was a fun experience and thanks for two great looking seat sets! Based on the time on the video it was about an 18 minute job - by clock a little longer as I wanted to set up some re-shots. In reality this was a real-time install. That would correlate with the local dealer...

you still have the gas spring to hold the Ultimate seat up just like the stock seats.

    Ultimate Seats installed

I just posted a thread in the "how to" forum - the video is showing as "processing" at vimeo (too long for youtube) - about 18 minutes. It was almost a "real-time" install as I did one just before this one but really the install is not too painful. Following the advice on here on how to not let...

Ultimate Seat and backrest installation video

Here it is - I am not a pro installer, video producer, nor even a good instructor - hope it helps you though. Lots of videos on here have helped me. Mostly real time so you can see how fast this works! The video is still processing at VIMEO so may not be viewable for a bit...

The seat still operates just the way the stock seat does. The fuel door just allows access to the fuel filler without having to lift the seat.

    Ultimate Seats installed

I installed two sets of the Ultimate seats on our machines today. Lots of great advice on here. I also made a video with the help of my son - if it looks OK I will post it. First seat set took about an hour. The second was about 35 minutes other than staging for the video. The twist ratchet...

    2012 rt limited fuel

Look at how you have the filler nozzle in the tank. If you try to put it all the way in like you would for a car, then you really wont get a full tank of gas and I can see where 3 gallons would be a fill. I usually put it all the way in to fill until it clicks off, then I back the nozzle out...

You must be a Spyder lover!

You might be a spyder lover if a simple 1 mile trip down the road takes 1.5 hours or more to complete. Bonus points if it was a trip that you did not need to make in the first place!
