• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

Amazing Heavy Duty Phone for Spyder

Yup - 40 years ago yesterday a guy in NYC made the first cellular call was made - and since then none of us have found any peace nor ability to escape! Jerk!

    Re-sale

trade in value is not adjusted up for the mods - BUT from personal experience with a dealer on a modded machine - boy do they play up them mods and stick to tighter pricing when re-selling the machine with them.

    Vanity Plates

Mr Denman - said I would put them up when I got them out of storage. Still cold here but brought them home today to get ready for Spyderfest. The dealer happened to have two sets of the variable wind deflectors so we added them right away before we left the dealer. But, being 40 degrees here we...

New SpyderLover sponsor- Two Brothers Racing

+1 on this. Sounds a bit more throaty with a growl but not like what you hear from some of the HD's that will pass you on the highway at all.

    Custom Dynamics VS. TricLED

I dont believe the two offerings are identical so look carefully and talk with them to make sure you are getting what you want. Both apparently great. Never bought from TRICLED but not because of not trying - just never had on hand what I wanted when I wanted it (part of being successful is...

Removing mirror without using sledge hammer?

The nice thing for you now is that future removals will seem easier although the effort will likely be the same - you will just think it is easier :) If you think the wrap makes you nervous, you should see a wife standing there watching you wrap the mirrors off of HER spyder!

    2013 Windshield Change

Gotta swing big to hit big! Look at it another way - the worse that can happen is that you HAVE to buy (the new vented) windscreen because you messed it up on the mod of the current screen (and after you and the misses get over the conversation on your thinking processes) :opps: NORTHSTAR -...

Just gave them my downpayment yesterday...

If you have the SE5 the Seal Floorboards are a breeze to install. I have put them on both SE5 and SM5 - and the SE was as the other poster said - about 20 minutes.

Removing mirror without using sledge hammer?

i picked up a couple extra clips for the mirrors when at the dealer last fall. Have not needed them yet but I am assuming that these will not do their job after a few more times of coming off the machine. Realize on here it is not easy to communicate what a "stiff wrap" on the mirror is. I...

    Off the wall..!!

I think it is the nature of people and forums. Usually people that are having no issues wont go online to talk about it.

Removing mirror without using sledge hammer?

you're loving your spyder too much. It does take a whack - almost to where you think it is going to break off. Palm of hand to the bottom side of the mirror near the outermost edge is where I get it. After the first one you will understand what it takes and wont be as timid on the other then.

Engine Cutting Out Driving Down the Road

ok - I can fess up - not sure if this was your issue but with my gloves on I was ever so slightly depressing the engine cut-off one time and got a similar result. Much more careful now :)

    Snowing again,

you can blame me for any ongoing winter here in WI. I just ordered up our two spyders from the storage facility in prep for spyderfest. If it warms up in two weeks then everyone will want their bikes out and I would be chancing not getting them in time so I had to prep ahead.
