• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

F3 - Rain Cover for seating

Can anyone recommend a cover for our seats that is a good fit with not too much slack to be flappin' in the wind? (Was out yesterday and during a lunch-stop, the sky opened up... needless to say a cover would have been welcome)

    F3 - Belt Tension Specs

Has anyone else taken readings, with any device on the F3 yet?

    F3 - BajaRon Sway & EndLink results...

... were outstanding! I finally had a chance to get out today (next weekend will report with 2-up) and see the differences the sway and end-links had. Very VERY nice! The first thing immediately noticed was in the steering. Seemed quicker to respond, which would make sense since you are...

    F3 factory bags

Good news on yours. (I do really like them....very stable when mounted and look nice). I did contact my dealer and they said they will correct the issue. (I mentioned the entire locking part is riveted in from behind, accept for the control dial inside). They asked me to send a quick video on...

    F3S - Bajaron's Sway & Links vs OEM

If the rain would stop around here, I should have a chance to give it a good test. (I do have some nice roads within an 5mile radius that will give it a NICE test)

    downshifting F3

True on the race car side where they perform a rev-match, similar to what you would manually do with a heel-toe shift. Ferrari has had it in their street cars since the 360... where a downshift from the paddle will blip the throttle so you are matching engine speed to proper land speed...

    Corbin or Cannonball seat?

Someone else on the F3 forum (I believe) did get a Corbin recently, and with pics was showing the fit along the tank was not all that great. (And as was said, it seems that the Corbins are a bit denser material and could be less comfortable). I do very much like the seat on the F3S, and the...

    downshifting F3

Normally I will grab a lower gear before heading into a turn, moreso downhill so I am never coasting and am into the throttle always. No throttle will get you into understeer and plow the Spyder (bad)... On normal straight road, I like to keep the RPMS 2500-3000 (closer to 3K normally) and may...

    F3 - Saddle Bag internal locking question/observation

Just sent an email to the dealer about wanting a new bag replacement. (The only way you could fix this is to drill the rivets holding that back steel panel... attempt a fix... then re-rivet, which just is not going to be pretty IMHO)

    F3 - Saddle Bag internal locking question/observation

Left side.... The right side has a definite position at the end where it somewhat "locks" and stays at the end of the rotation. A defined click when in-place. So its turn.... arm moves forward... stops and click. The left side has nothing BUT if I press in a bit on the dial you can slightly...

    F3 factory bags

Check out the posting I just put out there for the internal dial... See if that is on your's as-well.

    F3 - Saddle Bag internal locking question/observation

OK.... for those of you that have the bags here is the question and why I ask. The internal "dial" that moves the bracing arm forward has about 1/8 of a turn being loose at the end of engagement. Meaning once fully engaged you can turn on the backwards direction with NO movement of the arm...

    F3 factory bags

Nope... They are like you said and not similar. (One other thing to watch for. On my left side bag, when you twist the internal dial to engage the arm... mine works it's way backwards a bit during a drive.) Now, they can not come off if that happens because of the black flappy things on the...

    F3 - Upgraded Swaybar - Anyone?

Sounded like BajaRon > RT > F3 OEM (If you had a micrometer, measure the diameter of all three. It does not take much)

    downshifting F3

If/when I do downshift it is at the <3000rpm level if not lower. The Spyder does not have any form of "auto blip" that you might see in cars and such. (Although probably would not be hard to accomplish with an add-on unit). The only times I let the machine auto-downshift is when I am coming to a...

    F3S - Bajaron's Sway & Links vs OEM

Just installed the sway and end-links this afternoon... although not had a chance to road test for a difference to report on yet. I did want to post some quick pics showing the comparison. The bar thicker no-doubt, and the end links are aluminum (I choose silver) vs the composites.

    F3 - Upgraded Swaybar - Anyone?

All done. I will post-up later on the items done. (Overall very easy to do, but, you REALLY need a good jack because that baby is coming up 22-23" in the front to remove the bar... and every bit of safety in the form of something under the wheels is recommended. I used two sets of ramps stacked...

    F3 - Engine/frame side spash guard removal

I was removing to access the swaybar... Turns out I was able to slide it back enough to clear.

    F3 - Engine/frame side spash guard removal

Actually it does pretty darn good now... But, with 2-up there is no doubt that the extra weight is not my friend, yet all-in-all pretty good. (The bar is just about out... at the jack-it-up high point for clearance then pull it out). The guards I can move enough to access the 10mm bolts, plus I...

    F3 - Engine/frame side spash guard removal

Will do. (I am putting in the BajaRon sway and end-links). I will post a quick summary afterwards on other things removed to make it faster or necessary. I will say this, about that... the bar is definitely larger, and, the new end links are just flat-out far superior to the original composite...
