• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    What to ask$$$

Well, typically the accessories count for 0$ unless an interested buyer really wants them so they shouldn't effect the retail or trade value. Mileage will effect the value but I find the effect is minimal unless you have an extreme mileage difference from typical (for the year) in either...

Ryker 600 vs 900 for commuter?

Maintenance on both Rykers should be about the same. The 600 won't be as quick as the 900 and the 600 will probably get better mileage. Other than that they would be VERY similar. Sounds like you are OK with better mileage and less quickness. I'm sure the 600 will be fine.

    Changes for 2020?

Don't know really but when that happened for the RS line-up its wasn't long before BRP discontinued the RS. Maybe the F3 is going away?

    Spyder Rentals

I don't know a lot about this but I have rented ATV's a few times and in all cases........ They put a hold on your credit card of $1500 (approx.) for damages You purchase insurance on the spot when you rent the ATV. Cost was like $250. You also sign a waiver saying you agree to pay what...

A word to the wise regarding CVT belt

Good to know. I haven't checked by CVT filter lately. The CVT belt in general creates a lot of its own dust and the clutch area is typically filled with belt dust and grime from normal wear. I've never understood why BRP is so anal about enclosing their CVT systems (on all their products not...

    Front drive spocket

My 2012 RS has almost the exact same setup as yours. I'm about 1mm off the raised edge of the rear sprocket and the belt just touches the outside edge of the front sprocket. It's been like this since new and hasn't caused any issue. I don't have any squeak of the belt. My guess is just a...

    Ryker Rally Questions

The front shocks on the Rally can be adjusted by hand. Just take a bit of weight off the front (with a jack) and turn the collar/spring with your hand. I softened mine 1 level (2 I think) from stock.

    Time for new CVT belt??

The manual says change every 12K miles. I assume the dash warning comes on about 12K miles? If its not changed the bike is still ridable. Worst thing that will happen is you blow the belt. Which means you break it and shred it to pieces. Doesn't hurt anything (although it is a mess to clean...

    Help

It's been my experience with the Ski Doo that when the fuel pump goes bad it doesn't work. The sled or in this case bike may start and idle but when try to go somewhere you can't build enough power, fuel pressure to make that happen. I think if the fuel pump were really the issue you wouldn't...

Where is the best place to buy a Ryker on-line

I think this depends on where you buy. My Rally had no hidden fees really. My dealer charged a set-up/destination fee (on paper) but then discounted the MSRP the same amount so purchase price for my Rally was MSRP plus tax/title/registration (all state fees). The tacked on fees are really...

    Ryker 2020 model

Cheaper just to paint the black panels whatever color you want :) I like the new look. Pictures in the FB link above are of the rally I assume. I see they have the same crappy looking wheel design but blacked out. Other than painting the maxmount making a 2019 Ryker look like a 2020 looks to...

    The Elephant in My Room

Before I bought my Spyder I read this forum a lot and wasn't sure I should get one because of all the negative talk about reliability and dealers. I went ahead and bought one anyway. For a while I was worried every time I left the house on the bike if it would break down but after a year went...

    Ryker For Life

I agree with you eddiebrown. Owning both an RS and the Rally I too think the Ryker is more fun to ride than the Spyder. I also agree the Spyder is more comfortable. In my opinion (or maybe hope) the Ryker is going to turn into the new "sport" bike for BRP. Yes, its entry level and fairly...
