• There were many reasons for the change of the site software, the biggest was security. The age of the old software also meant no server updates for certain programs. There are many benefits to the new software, one of the biggest is the mobile functionality. Ill fix up some stuff in the coming days, we'll also try to get some of the old addons back or the data imported back into the site like the garage. To create a thread or to reply with a post is basically the same as it was in the prior software. The default style of the site is light colored, but i temporarily added a darker colored style, to change you can find a link at the bottom of the site.

    6x12 trailer

Trailer If the trailer has swing open doors you must make sure the opening will accommodate your bike. If it has a drop down door you may have to use longer wood ramps to allow the bottom of the bike to clear. Spyder's only have 4 1/2 inches of ground clearance. Good luck. By the way I live...

How do you motivate yourself to do something you don't want to do?

It's simple When you are truly ready, you will find the strength within yourself and do what is necessary. Not a moment before. This is experience talking.

    How can I "de-chrome" my RT-S?

No chrome Thank you. I was beginning to think I was the only biker that does not want chrome. The only chrome on my FJR1300 is the exhaust. The only chrome on my 2015 RT is a couple of markers on the sides. Brushed alloy is acceptable. But the less chrome, the better I like it.

    battery charger

Tender I have used the Deltran Battery Tender exclusively. We winter in Florida for six months. I have one hooked up to my FJR1300 and one hooked up to my Hyundai Santa Fe. When we get back to New Yoyrk in April everything fires right up. I would not consider any thing else.

ADVANTAGES TO 2015 RT VS 2012 RT

Advantag The main advantage is simple. Owning one! Ihad been a two-wheeler since 1966. I still own an FJR1300. I purchased a 2015 RT in October. It is my first Spyder. It is very comfortable with a secure secure stance. WOW! I am very impressed in what BRP has done. I have no regrets.

    2014 2015 2016 RT Top Speed?

Speed The subject of top speed certainly seems to be a subject that receives the full spectrum of responses. In my younger (less wiser) days speed was what we all strived for. The resulting costs or tickets, broken equipment and insurance did not matter. We just wanted to go fast. Now, for...

    Help with new RT

Ditto Ditto to all previous responses. It will all become second nature before you know it. I bought my 2015 RT in Oct. and I love my Spyder. Quiet, stable, with more than enough power. Do not give up and by all means drive safely and remain aware aware at all times.

Advice for purchasing a new or used rt-s we have been looking at 2015 models.

Purchase I bought a 2015 RT in Oct. I love it. Check out imotorsportsinc.com. They have pretty good prices on 2015 models and they will ship it anywhere in the continental U.S. free of charge. The 3 cylinder is the only way to go as far as I am concerned. Good luck.

How to keep passenger safely secure?

Harness A harness secured to the passenger grips would be ill advised. God forbid, if a roll-over collision were to occur she would remain attached to to the bike. Not a good scenario. I think that if she were to hold on to you she would feel you move your body in the turns and gain a lot of...

Wise choice I am from the Oswego area. We have both seen the damage salt can do. Wet salt-slush will find its way in to places you would never be able to clean. Nothing but bad would be the result.

CONSENSUS HERE WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE

First ride I also applaud your candor regarding your first Spyder driving experience. Many people approach the unknown with a false sense of bravado and end up paying the price. You do not want your first Spyder experience to be a negative experience. Put some distance between you and the...
